Can you guys upvote this idea on the Spotify community, about being able to change our usernames?

Not that I think it will help much. They've been ignoring it even though it's been among the top ideas for ages. But I can hope

Do you think streaming is going to reach a peak soon? I can see things topping out next year and staying stable for a while till/if some new medium comes out.

I think it's going to slow down growth modestly. I look at Sweden with streaming's future, since they've always been ahead of the curve. (Spotify is Sweden based, they've had audio streaming in their charts since 2010, etc).

 

Streaming is now like 95% of their market, and now it (along with total revenue) grows about 1-10% a year now. That's probably gonna happen soon, however I don't think streaming will actually decline for any foreseeable period. 

 

I also think the overall market might dip for a year or two though, because sales will probably have a dramatic crash soon (if iTunes or such shuts down). That happened with Sweden in 2014 (the market declined 0.4%, because sales fell nearly 40% that year). Streaming can only have so many insane increases to make up for sales. However since streaming will keep growing the market will just eventually go back to increasing (Sweden's market increased every year following since). And the thing is once sales have a huge decrease for 1-2 years, they won't be a worry anymore, because they'll be such a small negligible share by then.

Done. It’s so backwards how they don’t let people change their usernames or personalize their playlists with a picture of their choice  

You can easily do both on AM. Heck, your username can even be a bunch of random emojis.
