Starkboy
I wonder how much these exclusive Spotify videos help. For example, Selena's recent singles had them and they had in fact strong debuts (quite frontloaded tho) Delicate streams skyrocketed since Friday. The Weeknd's tracks are also probably being boosted by them as well. Plus those videos automatically makes Spotify give you more exposure. example: Her "This Is" playlist increased quite a lot recently. Probably promoted in some home pages: right now (April 3rd) : 717k followers March 29th : 651k March 22nd : 644k March 15th : 636k March 8th : 627k March 1st : 621k it increased more the last few 5 days (+66k followers) than in the previous 4 whole weeks (just 30k). Taylor fanboy
Delicate's video is unfortunately available in limited regions only. :( As to her "sky-rocket" streams since Friday according to @Starkboy, I would say the adjective used is a reach. @marsblyr & @TtaraHae are tracking the daily WW streams of Delicate and I've seen that it's always been consistently stable. My opinion on her This Is — she finally highlighted it on her profile and Delicate's relative increased presence in social media and Spotify playlists gave it the much needed buzz. And yet, there are 30 other songs outstreaming it. So let's not with this minimal support narrative. 4 hours ago, Thickorita said: 73,517,625 according to Spot On Track http://www.spotontrack.com/track/delicate/34664683#tab-playlists Non-Spotify user-curated playlists have a negligible amount of followers. Also, #25 Delicate 73.5 million #26 Plug Walk 64.3 million #27 Me Niego 61.4 million So, songs below it, with a lower playlist audience. And they don't even have both a song and a vertical video on the biggest Spotify playlists. I wrote this at the time of yesterday's update, when it was at #31. This has nothing to do with anything I said, reported for flamebait. Okay, user ''Taylor fanboy''. What is this pressed tangent over something so minuscule and over a statement/argument/point that was never even made in the first place? Triggered? OT: Glad Delicate is doing so well on streaming with still such a ridiculous amount of room left to grow in playlist audience. There are so many Spotify-curated playlists it has yet to grace, hoping that the song grows even more Edited April 3, 2018 by TtaraHae
Émotif Fool
Quote The Weeknd’s latest project, My Dear Melancholy, pulled in over 26 million streams in its first 24 hours on Apple Music, with the lead song “Call Out My Name” pulling in 6 million of those streams, the company tells The Verge. That in itself isn’t a record, but Apple Music’s numbers did beat out the single’s performance on Spotify, which pulled in nearly 3.5 million streams in the same period — the largest debut of 2018 on the service — according to Republic Records. link Apple Music leading the pack yet again

I mean it makes sense they do that because they know they'll do well on AM without doing anything, so they devote their promotion to Spotify to help out where they do possibly need a bit more of a push comparatively. Nielsen & Spotify have pretty sophisticated algorithms that can detect artificial/spam streams, and simply filter them out.
