WaterDiamonds Posted 6 hours ago Author Posted 6 hours ago Just now, Saint James said: @WaterDiamonds i've always wondered, where do you think will.i.am stands in all of this? is he a bad guy? like he's not an awful person or we would know. but i found it weird that army never talks about him even though he clearly had a good relationship with team Britney and probably had some idea of how she was being treated. he is at least partly to blame for Myah Jean being greenlit right? maybe he never treated Britney poorly, but he was certainly a silent witness and i hope karma comes for him. Will.i.am definetly was aware of the Myah situation and enabled it to happen because he knew he had no choice if he wanted the album to see the light of day, that's why William Orbit shaded him saying he made himself the boss rather than putting the focus on Britney, he saw the project as a way to prove himself as a force to be reckoned with on his own without realizing he left everything that could've made the project great behind him. He and Britney actually got along well and I know they have a mutual appreciation for each other but the minute he was given the chance to become the executive producer of the album he made the album as if it was his own project feat Britney rather than the other way around, adding the Will Power scrapped feature It Should Be Easy on it speaks volumes... I don't like the guy, he presumably hasn't learnt anything from the fiasco considering Mind Your Business is a Myah Marie fest as well...

They axed some songs Britney actually laid her vocals on in exchange for those. Myah recording her vocals for Alien (The last "like an alieeen" is actually Britney tho) Britney's original vocal take of Alien before it got through Anthony Preston, she never recorded the "Not alone not alone not alone" part so William orbit crafted it using the "Not alone" from the chorus and melodyne, still think it sounds better than Myah's screeching vocals Not the No Myah sounding better than the actual track In other words, the producers messed up here. I'd be furious If I was Britney

I'd be furious If I was Britney The same happened to Brightest Morning Star and Passenger, with the difference that in that last one Britney's vocals in the chorus and bridge sounded trully atrocious, almost as if she was sick while recording them, and couldn't be saved even with the finest tuning, according to a person who has heard them. Britney's vocals at sec 0:26, Myah's at 01:02 Edited 6 hours ago by WaterDiamonds 1
J-esper Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Also something interesting to note is that around that time Britney, will.i.am, Miley and Nicole Scherzinger all were under Larry Rudolph's management team. Nicole recorded a full record with will.i.am and Antony Preston as exc. Producers in 2012, only Boomerang got released and the album was shelved after that. Nicole even shot a complete album/promo shoot at a location. Which happened to be the same location Britney recorded the Work B*tch video. It's like Larry and his team didn't wanted to do any effort and re-used producers, writers and locations
Potentilla Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago This is incredible! Any deets on Perfume? It's one of my faves. I know the music video completely changed. 1

I know the music video completely changed. According to Britney, it was the last song *she* recorded for the album, so it probably was done in October of 2013. The Dreaming Mix is the original version of the song, and how it was supossed to sound, the standard version is an alternative mix done by Will.i.am that was meant to be radio friendly since the song was always meant to be a single. Chris Braide is the vocal producer of the track, that's why her voice sounds so lush and there's absolutely no Myah in it, just Britney and very quiet Sia background vocals which I deeply appreciate, it doesn't sound a mess like the ballads engineered with help of Anthony Preston, completely butchered by him, like Hold On Tight or Brightest Morning Star. Sadly I don't have any interesting info about the scrapped Director's Cut of the Perfume video, contacting Joseph Kahn or any of his reps for additional info it's mission impossible and I doubt it has ever circulated online. Wonder if any Nicole scraps were given to Britney for BJ or if Will and Anthony Preston had the decency to keep them to themselves and don't do Nicole any more dirty
Frozen99 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago thanks for the tea as always @WaterDiamonds bj remains a stain on her discography, maybe some day, she releases those scrapped songs when she gets around her music career... one can hope.

I always liked it, but never I listen to it, because it feels wrong. This album is not Britney's and other than few listens back in December 2013 I never listened to it again. Other than WB. 1

A Million Lights Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago No wonder she left the music industry… mess Great thread! 1

Qmhp Posted 33 minutes ago Posted 33 minutes ago So, are there full songs without Britney on the album? Is Perfume is the only song without Myah?
