Popular Post The Music Industry Posted 9 hours ago Popular Post Posted 9 hours ago Billie famously said that "it's some of the biggest artists in the world making f---ing 40 different vinyl packages that have a different unique thing just to get you to keep buying more. I can't even express to you how wasteful it is. It is right in front of our faces and people are just getting away with it left and right." Fast forward just over a year after that interview, her album now has over 12 different physical vinyl variants, with a new one just announced yesterday: How do you reconcile her comments with her actions? 1 25 6
Fav Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Aged like plastic I guess... So fine unless they're under the sun... 2
hoax Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago (edited) A "strong ethical stance" from a pop girl turning into an incident of spineless faux-morality for the sake of grandstanding? Revolutionary Some people just can't help but run from one hypocrisy to another over the course of their career The entire industry is capitalized upon to this level whether we like it or not, at least some girls are honest enough to not pretend otherwise Edited 8 hours ago by hoax 2 1 5
OBEY Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago (edited) I suppose her vinyls aren't wasteful to her because they're BioVinyls. Eco Details: BioVinyl is made of bio-based PVC using cooking oil or industrial waste gases. All vinyl packaging is made from FSC® certified recycled paper/boards made 100% from post-consumer waste and recycled pre-consumer fibers. The ink used is raw plant-based and water-based dispersion varnish. In place of shrink-wrap, the sleeves are 100% recycled and re-usable. For shipping, all finished goods are packaged and shipped to depots in up to 93% recycled and 100% recyclable shipping boxes. Edited 8 hours ago by OBEY 2 2
sasashite Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Her comments already came off as hypocritical back then. Some people only sided with her because she was indirectly going after Taylor. 4
bad guy Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago A year later and Swifties still hollering like hit dogs But yes they've aged quite well since they're all green-friendly and recyclable (as much as they can be under how vinyls are normally produced). When your album's still smashing after a year and not just for a month, there's certain demand that comes with that but I'll be perched for when she out-variants TTPD. I'm sure you'll be the first to let us know given how updated you are 1 2 9 7
Kiddeaux Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Stands true artist like Taylor released hundreds of variations of vinyls, Cassettes, CDs. Just for chart positions. 1
aotearoa Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago very good, miss thunberg will never understand the power of having 40 different vinyl packages 8

Popboi. Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago It would've been fine if she didn't make the snarky comment adding insult to injury is that her vinyl pressings sound terrible cause of the eco-mix technique used. 51 minutes ago, Kyoto said: Aged like fine wine, too bad can't say the same for Midnights, TTPD and the Taylor's Versions streams. Oh this post will age like Billie's when Taylor goes back to being active 3
Dash_inthedark Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago one year later and still crying about this non issue LOL bored much? Meanwhile Billie keeps receiving awards and recognition for all she does towards Sustainability. Is she perfect? No. Is it better to do the best you can, be conscious and try to improve whatever you can? No doubt. 2

John Slayne Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago i mean she did spill with the original comment though, regardless of how many variants she released after. and y'all need to stop buying this junk over and over again that said, there are much worse things done to the environment daily so in the grand scheme of things the vinyls are not doing anything.
WalkingOnAir Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago It was a rotten comment at the arrival. Taylor really got sis pressed between the shades to the variants and the shows' length, when she doesn't even have 3+ hours of music along her entire catalog 2

bad guy Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago 1 hour ago, The Music Industry said: It already had more vinyl variants on release day than TTPD to date, so you don't have to wait sis Different colored vinyls ≠ different secret voice memo/bonus track/song/easter egg on top of an entire double album with vinyl variants of that to match…but you know that Get it all out though I know it must sting otherwise you wouldn't still be whining about this after a year 3
Sawk Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago And yet… all the variants have the same tracklist, the album is the same, what changes is the color pressing. Funnily enough, that's something the PTSD songstress very meticulously avoided in order to cash in from the obsessive fans who would have had to buy 4 variants to get all the bonus tracks physically on vinyl. something glass houses, something stones 4
