It's a sad situation all around. It's sad for the women who are living a lie and being deceived and even having their health be put in jeopardy. And it's sad that we as a society continue to stigmatize homosexuality to the point where these men fear living openly in their truth.

Oh dear.....I know a married man flirted with me a few years ago, but he also had a husband. I never encountered one married with a woman and kids tbh, I thought it was a thing of the past

and they still have sex with guys in secret

The unfortunate truth is that a substantial portion of gay men in my country are closeted and experience life in this manner.

I have gay uncle married to a woman with a kid (who's a doctor). We all know he's gay, but it's like.. they got married in the 80s and still love each other as besties. Their little garden of pansies and petunia's is fabulous this time of year too. There's no point prying into their truth.

I have a friend that's gay but married to a woman with kids. He doesn't want to come out because he's gotten too used to the lifestyle and they've been married for many years. Plus he doesn't want his kids to know.

 

Meanwhile his wife won't touch him and he's been having sex with men for 10 years now

Oh it's definitely still a thing in Western countries too, especially the ones that have hyper-religious regions like the US does.

 

I've always thought that sooooo many Mormon men act like very repressed gay guys. Once I made the realization, I could never unsee it.  
 

I would argue that the whole lavender marriage thing will become more popular again, as acceptance of LGBT people continues to tumble down just like Katy Perry's last three albums on the charts

lol I would say that 50% of the married men on gay hookup apps are married to WOMEN, it definitely still happens
