The problem is that she sat down and viewed it, knowing full well that it was major invasion of somebody's privacy. And then throwing her two cents out there without regard for the people involved. Pamela has always been very clear on how she feels that tape being stolen from her, and I have to imagine she doesn't need some inexperienced twenty-year-old know-it-all drudging it up for no reason. That tape was not only a violation, it also severely impacted her career. While it's all good and lovely that Lorde saw beauty in the footage on the tape, she never should have watched it in the first place, and she certainly should have kept her thoughts on it to her damn self.

 

I don't know what happened to Lorde, but she seems to only get more and more immature the older she gets. It's sad to see.

I get that she meant no harm but even if you take away the aspect of her accidentally glorifying revenge porn, what she said in itself sounds so pretentious and stupid.  I still believe in her though, Virgin is going to slay.

this wont have any affect on Lorde (and it shouldn't) and everyone will forget about it soon enough but I do hope she doesn't view it as just another "that friend thats too woke" moment and ppl understand why it's not ok to bring it up (let alone have that "beautiful" take) cuz some the ignorant ass takes I've seen online....

Pam isn't perfect herself (no one is) but this also isn't just about her it affects anyone who might feel like their own privacy/trauma can be overlooked over (unauthorized) silly/trivial public consumption

I don't understand this... I wish she'd just own that she spoke out against other artists back then (Selena, Taylor, etc) and it taught her a lesson that she now knows. This "I always knew, I was just waiting" doesn't make sense because, why would she have spoken out against them back then if that was the case?

 

Art is inspiring when it demonstrates growth and change, she should just lean into that.

It's so interesting how you can easily spot what artist is not really well trained for the media as soon as a new era starts. Some artists may spend years hiding that it doesn't really matter, the moment they return they will say some inappropriate **** and ruin almost everything. 

Some artists would be better off without doing interviews.
