Nothing she's saying this era makes any sense. Just random stuff without a point

I don't really see any strategy here but she definitely thought that she ate with the comment.

As she should. We idolize these people but she got famous at 17, I don't even know if she has a high school degree. Unfortunately education doesn't come first when you are making hits and money at a such young age

My god do we have to constantly cancel every female in mainstream music, sheesh. It's become so tiring. Sometimes we say the wrong thing

I honestly just wanna know if Lorde tried traditional talk therapy before she jumped into psilocybin therapy because in the article, she shares this out of nowhere as an example of what she did on MDMA. :deadbanana:

I think Lorde is being a bit edgy here and she's trying to shake off the teen heroine image she had. I mean she was saying this too in Solar Power. However, it's just weird. I don't think she cares about the blowback this time as much though

I kinda miss the reflective intellectual she used to come across as:emofish: Something about her seems so off this era. Is it drugs?

she never was this person that you speak of. we were all just younger and the **** that came out of her mouth sounded more profound to us

i just tune her out and enjoy the music tbh

Word salad for her new persona. She went around for Solar Power stressing anticonsumerism now she's imparting spiritual meaning into her $180 water bottle. I never take her seriously anymore.

I don't understand the reasoning for her randomly watching and speaking of that. All she's going to do is bring about a resurgence of interest in the video to where it probably starts spreading again, even if on a smaller scale. There was nothing for her to gain, so I just don't get it.

just ******* shut up and release music, im tired of recent interviews from most of them, because it just shows how dumb and out of touch they are.

Don't read them then you *****.
Celebs aren't obligated to say what tf you wanna hear. She's allowed to appreciate a f*cking s*x tape if she wants, not everybody is expected to know about Pamela and her trauma, just like she missed the memo on Whitney and bathtubs like who gives AF.

It is so weird how she tries to romanticize Pamela and Tommy's relationship out of all people when Tommy was abusive to her to the point that he served 6 months in county jail for kicking Pamela while she was holding their son....

Wasnt a good thing to say but it happened. Hopefully she thinks twice before saying stuff next time. I don't think it was her intention to harm Pamela nor sound pedophilic.

Firstly, I do think this is an incredibly clumsy way of approaching the point I think she's aiming to make and to that extent yes I do think she is deserving of some criticism. Pamela has been open about how she feels about this tape being out, and as such it probably would've been smarter to avoid bringing up altogether.

That said, I do feel what she's attempting to get across here is that she didn't view the tape as something worthy of the derision and malice that was directed toward it and that she thought it was a document of two people who were in love expressing their love for each other in a way she found to be beautiful, and that she doesn't feel it should be viewed as something dark or bad.

Celebrity sex tapes are treated by the public as these purely *****graphic, salacious things and the women involved in them are almost always raked over the coals for it. But at the end of the day, they often depict two people who are simply expressing a feeling, and in many cases it is love. Sex is not inherently a dirty thing, especially between two people who are in love.

Now, this was probably not the thing to use as an example of that given how Pamela feels about it, and I agree it's worthy of noting how she feels. But I also understand what Lorde is trying to say, even if it's incredibly, incredibly off the mark in delivery.

and especially not the thing to use an example since the man with Pam in the tape "was so in love" with her that he beat her up while she was holding their child.

I don't think Lorde meant any harm by her comment but Gen Z celebrities need to do their history better and have a little more tact.

The new era is already ruined because of all the stupidity she's been spewing.

The youngins in here not knowing about Pam's sex tape is making me feel so old. It was all the talk at my lunch table at school in the 90s.
