Can someone explain to me why the rapper Khia's name randomly became some euphemism for the words 'flop' and 'irrelevance'?? I cringe every time I see her name being used in such a manner. Same with idiocy like "khia asylum". It feels icky, like she's been dehumanized and I don't like it. Which idiot stanbase started this?

I always thought it was because of how she used to have a judge show where she had a gavel and that the reference was that she was sentencing flop popgirls to her prison :deadbanana: isnt that the origin or am I tripping lol

I remember her Queens Court show she did with TS Madison on youtube. Her and Madison would talk about and judge all kinds of topics and celebrities, but mainly news items in black culture.

I always thought because she is synonymous with the hitting the gavel that was why but if that's all they talked about then maybe it's not that :deadbanana:

i do wonder where the origins of it came. Some pop culture youtuber should do a deep dive on it lol

its also dehumanizing to say homophobic and transphobic things. I remember when she joked about people in the Caribbeans killing trans women + making all sorts of HIV jokes. I have no pity for Khia.

Waitt, khia is not pronounced as khia but eye-ah?

r

0:05 is how you pronounce her name. Even more evidence the "My Neck, My Back" singer is too relevant to be used as a epithet for flops. :michael:

This is what she means when she says the hate is getting too much.

Even Kamala's pet boy has something shady to say about her now.

The host said it, not Tim. All Tim said was people are chronically online doing unproductive things like doomscrolling, dragging Katy perry. Then the host decides to say "Kia, Kia, hehehe that concert's not doing well" The thread is misleading because Tim says nothing, so the title should go Host calls Katy Perry a Khia during Tim Walz forum.

Please he only felt comfortable even mentioning that because he knows the people gonna laugh and find it funny which is exactly the reason the hate is getting too much

This might be her villain origin story. Like the time Obama calling Kanye a dumbass.

I really hate that people are throwing tomatoes at her unnecessarily because the hate really is too much

She had a flop album, she can't dance on tour, and she went into space. People are acting like she committed a hate crime. It's weird.

Even if you isolate it to her working with Dr. Luke, people had less animosity towards the release of her latest album where they were collaborating compared to now so that's clearly not it

You're pronouncing it correctly. It's supposed to be "Kye (like eye) Ah".

WHAT? Not "key yah"?! :deadbanana2:
