Doechii yells at assistants: "I need more f*cking umbrellas"

A lot of you will never amount to anything close to what Doechii has and you still act way nastier than anything happening in this video, so that's kinda that

I may never become famous but I will never talk to a server or anyone like that. Your character shows by how you treat people "below" you. She won't go far if this is her attitude. See Christina, JLo, Lizzo.

I still don't understand the big deal. So what if people saw her outfit five minutes early, she was still going to take pictures on the red carpet. The idiocy of walking behind a white curtain for 10 steps is too much.

You must not know what it's like working in a high stress environment like this.

She didn't disrespect anyone. She said "get me another umbrella now."

You're way too soft to be commenting on this if you think this is too far. Very strange too, considering this is the one time we've seen Doechii act like this and you want to go as far as to say she thinks people are below her. She's human and had a sorta rough moment that's not even that bad.

Why do you actually hate her? I'm curious! You're usually defending Black artists, so I'm sure that's not the case, is it cause she's new and you don't like her new song? What's tea?

Dude what? First of all I don't hate her, I was actually defending Anxiety and saying it's an improvement on the original when people were trashing it. Secondly, while snapping and screaming like this would never be tolerated in a corporate environment, mostly I question her temperament. Doing all this and for what? Seeing her walk behind a screen was ridiculous.

Maybe I missed something in the video but I expected nastier behavior than this.

I don't care about the screen, I don't see why that matters at all. Are we not discussing the treatment of workers? What else matters?

So back to the point: Are you, or anyone else, qualified to say that Doechii "looks down on" others for this 1 minute clip in a high stress environment?

I have to wonder what you all have gone through in life, or if anyone here is employed. I have heard people react much worse than this in pretty much every job I've had, from the service industry, to retail, to my now corporate, remote work job. People get stressed and high strung and sometimes their behavior slips, because they are human.

Again, all she said was that she needed umbrellas now. She didn't call them names, insult them, or anything of the sort. Her tone of voice was intense because it was loud and there were tons of people scrambling around looking lost, so she instructed them. It's not a huge deal.

What's disappointing is that, if you like her like you say you do, you'd acknowledge that while her behavior wasn't perfect, it wasn't grounds for making claims that she thinks herself to be above others. Secondly, you'd realize that this is another part of the insane hate train she's getting for absolutely no reason. Is it cause she's a queer black woman? Probably partially. But I wouldn't be surprised if there were other works going on behind the scenes.

Did another thread get merged? I could have sworn I replied to this already. In short, I don't know how she treats people in general but this was a wild overreaction to a very innocuous situation and her throwing a fit was wildly uncalled for and would not be tolerated in any other line of work.

She was doing too much. People will accept fun, playful diva behavior like Mariah, but not genuinely mean behavior IMO.

Plus, her outfit was too stupid for her to be acting like that tbh. All that drama and secrecy over some shorts outfit :rip:

I don't get why all the attendees have to leave from that same hotel? Can't they just arrive from somewhere else in NYC, especially if they want to avoid being seen before hitting the red carpet?

The clip was...not that bad?

Like she was rude yes but people acting like she was cursing out people or being this horrible disgusting person are a bit out of touch. She was being slightly bossy but saying "get me a ******* umbrella now" as opposed to without the expletive wouldn't have made a different. This is her first Gala event and she probably wanted it to be a surprise like for everyone else regardless if you like her outfit or not

This unrealistic expectation that women need to be nice and posh 24/7 is just a symptom of misogyny because none of you would hold men to this standard for something so trivial

The irony of claiming maturity when they're making sweeping conclusions about her entire personality and moral character because she simply said "get me a ******* umbrella", all the while being a on a gossip forum. LOL

Not Mariah and her nasty personality become the standard now

She and Nicki are mean girl boat mates

Mariah is funny, and her shades are lighthearted - she's not out here calling people slurs and cursing. What she does has class to it.

While I agree the screen box was absolutely ridiculous and unnecessary, preparing for and getting to the MET Gala is a very tedious, stressful, and anxiety-inducing endeavor for everyone involved.  Every part of your outfit, hair, and makeup needs to be perfect the moment you step out of the car.  This being her first MET Gala also likely led to this, but I think she was really worried about getting rain on her hair and outfit.  There is also a lot of pressure on celebs by the fashion designer responsible for their looks to, you know, be a walking doll.  It's just a lot.

The whole thing just show's how tedious celebrity culture is. It's an outfit, it's really not that serious if you're pictured before entering the red carpet. Post-COVID, people really are over the likes of the Met Gala and the self-serving celebrities that attend it.

Doechii is talented but this is not it. She's rightfully being called out.

Doechii is my girl but this is not it. Her outfit wasn't even all that to be doing this.

This makes no sense. The internet wasn't going to explode with headlines everywhere with her look though. That would literally be the only reason for this. Her slight reveal walking here would have changed absolutely nothing.
