If a man were saying this today, the reactions here would be very different. This is actually insane to read, and this is not about fiction or fantaisies.
The things I have learned reading this thread are crazy. The stereotypes about black men and women like...

You realize this is satire written from the perspective of a bad alter ego called Mistress Dita right? There is another page were Dita talks about how much she loves getting date R*ped. It's intentionally written to be controversial ragebait satire as Madonna herself has described numerous times. I'm not gonna keep talking about something where you are clearly completely ignorant or just looking for an argument.

Thats not from the SEX book.

And y'all are funny.

I stand corrected about it being from the sex book but it does not change my point. I looked this stuff up and all the sources are claiming it's satire and that contrived interview is from 1983 when Madonna was marketing herself as the "boy toy". One of her many fictional persona's designed as a clever marketing ploy.

Oh yeah, glad to learn that Like A Virgin (song) hits different for you than for all of us normal people who would not defend an adult person fetishising 15 year old boys.

I'm not defending anything, simply pointing out that lots of the stuff in here has been taken out of context or is straight up false. I'm not even a hardcore Madonna stan, just stumbled upon this weird ass thread and looked up some of the claims being made here and it's mostly a bunch of nonsense.

She has always been a racist. I remember when she said this about black men and women in 1995

Quote

Madonna says she was disrespected by the black men she dated; blames white racism, sexism

Jet, Dec 18, 1995

Pop music superstar Madonna recently told Spin magazine, "I've never been treated more disrespectfully as a woman than by the Black men that I've dated."

In Spin's January 1996 issue, the seductive entertainer revealed she never expressed her controversial opinion before, but she thought the way Black men treated her was a reflection of their culture.

Madonna, who was once involved in a highly publicized relationship with colorful, controversial basketball star Dennis Rodman of the Chicago Bulls, went on to say, "I think Black men have just been s--- on for so long, that, in a way, Black women are maybe more willing to accept rage from a Black man, because they see what's happened to them."

She said many Black men grow up without fathers or strong male figures, and they are used to seeing men disrespect women.

In the exclusive interview, Madonna noted she thought she appealed to Blacks because she's a female, therefore in a minority group also. But she said she later realized that the Black community does not support her.

She knew she was making a slavery joke to a young R&B singer she knew had less power than her.

She was being racist.

For some reason she can't resist saying things that have an innocent meaning but could be taken in a very negative way. It's like she's testing how far she can go with people.

she probably meant it in the way don't I "own" your pinterest board or smtg similar since montell was largely inspired by her.

Listen Madonna has always had a weird fetish for black people. In her early interviews, I always thought it was weird how much pride she had saying that the public thought she was a black girl cuz her face wasn't on the cover of her first single.

It's widely reported she wanted Tupac's babies. The hard-on for Janet especially. 2/3 of her adoptive children being black.

As crazy as it sounds I think part of her has always WISHED she was a black girl :skull:

Having adopted Black children doesn't make you not racist. Joining a BLM protest doesn't make you not racist either :skull: this site is filled with such elementary understandings of racism or Anti Blackness it's funny.

Only when it comes to defending white women.

Lash it. I don't know why people keep saying stupid **** like this. "How am I racist if I took BBC, had a black kid, and went to BLM" type ****. White "liberals" are dangerous in their own way and the sad fact that as tone deaf, anti-Black, and inefficient as they are we still need them cause their other halfs are worse. FREE ME FROM THIS TIMELINE.

I'll always love Madonna for her artistry and music and certain aspects of her personality, as I do find her both inspirational and motivational, but I wouldn't hold it against anyone who feels the need to absolutely dog her. Statements like that just can't be overlooked, and she should be called out for it.

Disgusting. I stream her music cause some of it slaps but despite her great catalogue, shes a trash person.

Liddos getting brave trying to cancel M while she worked with well known predator R Kelly and abuser Terry Richardson. Good luck trying though :fan:

idk why yall bringing Gaga into this but Madonna also worked with a convicted rapist and  even called him a role model: Mike Tyson, and has worked with Terry R Too so It's not like she's clean in that aspect...

anyway on topic: She has a long history of microaggressions. Sad some people  can't see that what she did here was super wrong

Once again, some people will forgive anyone for anything as long as they release a jam or are attracted to them. Hypocrisy runs rampant.
