But there is payola. Just look at the Airplay thread. Ed and Miley can get large updates despite flop after flop, while Drake got largely ignored despite great streaming numbers. (I mean, that new Ed song, after only 2 days, is already ahead of Nokia, which has been out for nearly 2 months, on Pop.)

 

If anything, Drake has been screwed by radio out of several weeks at #1 post-Scorpion.

Strictly speaking on how the general public handles it, yes.
