she's not gonna be the next Tate McRae or Sabrina Carpenter regardless of what she releases, but she's cultivated enough of a niche audience with her releases to be more akin to the white Tinashe if she plays her cards right and has a steady, consistent output of music.

 

she has outlets like Pitchfork on her side and she's pretty universally well regarded with industry superstars like Charli and Ariana. if she keeps that going she could have small scale success for quite some time, and i think that's probably enough for her. i can definitely also see her fizzling out but i personally love every record she's released so far since her EP. and she's much more intuitive than a lot of ATRL gives her credit for!

I didn't say she doesn't deliver quality tho. I just pointed out that it feels like the hype is fading a little bit. I just think it's a smart move to capitalize some more off of the current exposure she has. And that would include having at least a pre-order or album title up by now or something…
