She's been on a higher tier than them in terms of commercial success since 2014. Ariana Grande is a global popstar and she has an entire catalog of super ubiquitous songs.

 

Miley and Selena have them here and there, but they've never been as consistent as The Wicked actress.

girl Ariana has 6 #1 albums and Rihanna has 2. Rihanna biggest opening week is 238k and Ariana's is 360k. Adele and Beyonce's last albums were frontloaded, they won't outsell ES in the longrun. Even Positions did over 100 weeks on the chart while 30 fell off at 69 weeks. They aren't her peers anyway so what's your point?

Ariana has always been a bit more commercially successful with music.

 

Honestly, they're all pulling respectable numbers with how far into their careers they are. A lot of other pop artists would be happy to see their success.

The demographic shows that the general public, critics and non fans alike all show that we need Ariana's music in our lives...so her retiring from the industry (for now) during her artistic peak just doesn't feel right

A) because it debuted during a New Years Eve televised segment after the ball dropped

What strong promotion? We're literally rioting against her label for the lack of support towards the single (which at this point might not even be a proper official single).

mind u selena did all that as a hobby not as her main career.

 

selena just had the biggest debut of her career and only an atrl twink would love to call her a flop to validate their own fave success. 

 

you know u can celebrate your fave achievements without bringing other woman down who just reached a new milestone in their (hobby) career but i think u just got too much free time in ur hands to be doing all of that

I mean, do you really wanna take that route? Ariana is way bigger than her, that's true, but facts are facts. Flowers is universally known by literally everyone.
