oscar13 Posted March 29 Posted March 29 This 2021 release, originally titled "White Hot Forever", is Lana Del Rey's least streamed album on Spotify with 880M streams, even behind her mixtape "Blue Banisters". Why do you think this masterpiece is so overlooked? Do you agree/disagree, let's dicuss. The album has some of her career highlights: 2 1
EDEJtheArtist Posted March 29 Posted March 29 (edited) Blue Banisters imo is her most underrated album and not a mixtape…but I also love COTCC I definitely think Tunnel is her most overrated album Edited March 29 by EDEJtheArtist 7 3 1
Roberto Posted March 29 Posted March 29 No, Honeymoon is. Crazy you posted some highlights, yet there is Dance Til We Fall Asleep and not Yosemite. 1
Loca Posted March 29 Posted March 29 I feel like there is enough of a contingent that (rightfully, perhaps) claims it as her best, so not really. I think Honeymoon is her most underrated and people will see it once they grow out of Ultraviolence.
SlowGinFizzzz Posted March 29 Posted March 29 (edited) Yes. It's a hard album to get into, but once it clicks, it really does. The title track, Tulsa Jesus Freak, Wild At Heart and Yosemite are all career highlights in my opinion. Tulsa Jesus Freak in particular is such a unique song in her discography, she hadn't explored that kind of sound before and she hasn't since. Maybe one day Tiktok will randomly discover it and make it go viral. Edited March 29 by SlowGinFizzzz
BrokenMachine Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Yes. People overlook it for the amount of slow and laid back songs, but it's a great body of work and a very introspective album. It truly reflects her desire to leave Hollywood and build a new life in Tulsa with Larkin. Her desire didn't age well, but it's still such a beautiful album

I love the song, but I don't think it's that unique. It sounds very Lana, even White Dress stands out more in comparison with her other works 2
NoOneDiesFromLove Posted March 30 Posted March 30 COtCC is in my opinion overrated and threads like these prove it. It's got a few highlights but that's it 1
Shoful Posted March 30 Posted March 30 Wait I can't believe you posted this. I literally put this album on an hour ago for the first time in probably a year or more Yes, it's easily her best album of the Jack era. And Yosemite Rick Nowels you never disappoint. The biggest mistake of this album is putting Woman instead of Pink Champagne on it
G.U.Y. Posted March 30 Posted March 30 Blue Banisters is her most underrated album. Objectively, it's better than HM, LFL and, arguably, COCC.
UseYourIllusion2002 Posted March 30 Posted March 30 Idk but Wild At Heart is one of her best songs ever
highbyoceanblvd Posted March 30 Posted March 30 Its her most underrated solely for the lashing it got upon its release! People also rarely claim it when it's top 2 in discography.
NOW Posted March 30 Posted March 30 Honeymoon, even though it's neither most people's favorite or hated, is something I feel is just as good and cohesive as the major fan-favorite Ultraviolence.
hoax Posted March 30 Posted March 30 5 minutes ago, right where you left me said: @gagacasanova @hoax well is it? Oh thank you for alerting me to this heinous conception. Cumdumps Behind The Bathhouse is a snoozy collection of demos that the label released against Lana's will, and I refuse to believe otherwise. There are approximately three and a half songs, and the rest are just half-baked, ill-formed ideas, if that. The most underrated Lana album is actually Honeymoon and you will all learn to show her the respect she is due. 2 1
