But he isn't... That's my point...

Having high first week sales or units ain't an accurate factor to measure popularity.

Is he having a smash hit trending in the world? Is he a household name globally? etc.

He check none of those... He's no global superstar, and yet his sales are massive.

So yeah, maybe units have been a silly metric all along. :skull:

This is a us chart…

I expect between 800k and 1 million copies. I can't understand why they haven't released the numbers for the second leg of the 2024 tour...it would have entered the top 10 of the biggest tours in history by revenue.

$300ml 2023

$400/450ml for 2024

(*las vegas concert grossed $32ml for 2 shows..)

The US and the world are connected when it comes to pop music, you thought you ate. :skull:

A song smashing in the US will make noise in France, Spain, Brasil, etc.

Why do you think pop girls be outselling stadiums in Europe?

He is outselling them in US and he is currently more popular than them in US. Someone not being listened by gay atrl circles does not mean that isn't popular for other audiences.

Pop(ular) culture is about appealing to MOST audiences.

Hope this helps, since we're on a POP forum.

he has never done interviews outside the US, never made any TV appearances and yet he has sold 150k tickets in the UK and Northern Europe without any promotion. in Australia he could do stadiums without any problems.

It's gonna be higher than 500k, his last album opened with 501k without vinyls and his stock has only risen since then

:suburban:

According to some users here he is The Music Industry and bigger than Taylor so I'm expecting 2.5 million minimum :suburban:

Big numbers but somehow it's weird they're not bigger? Like he's basically the biggest male right and 2nd biggest act overall in the states and his biggest first week is 500k? but I assume he makes up for that with the huge longevity of his albums but at same time since the streaming era only a handful of acts have opened with more than 600k.

Maybe they are being conservative with their forecasts. However, some of us were expecting he might experience some decline, he is not at the same level of popularity than he was when he released his previous effort, and his singles have not been huge in a crossover way this time.

Can't hate when his fans genuinely support his music and he's not out here selling digital variants to stay at #1 s:wan:

Didn't he just release an album? How did he find the time to write 37 more songs? :skull:

4(+1 next week)consecutive top10 hits...

I had some help was a hit last year.

Now he will finally start promoting with snl but I expect a lot of appearances in podcasts and other tv programs.

If he does 1 million I'm deleting my account :suburban:

Spoiler

He can sell 5 million copies in the US and still not be able to sell out a single stadium in Asia I fear
