The decision to not announce the closing of this legendary coaster last year and then just pull the rug is what hurts the most… smh. The replacement better be falcon's flight 2.0 1 1
LustSpell Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Oh my god I remember always wanting to ride this someday because it was in so many rollercoaster compilations at #1. A sad day absolutely 1

The replacement better be falcon's flight 2.0 We're unfortunately getting the hideous Strata Mack Tower Spinner Though I am hearing we're supposed to be getting another high thrill coaster for 2027 but we will see! At least they're properly retracking Toro starting next off season

The replacement better be falcon's flight 2.0 Right I haven't been to Six Flags in ages but I would've loved to go just for one last ride. RIP NJ icon. It was honestly such a moment for us when she first opened. 1
Helix Posted February 28 Posted February 28 (edited) and this is the reason why mega corporations are just evil. Cedar Flags will keep on demolishing a huge amount of their beloved rides for cost saving measures. They don't have anything to loose cause there are barely any competitors left anymore anyway. Hope they loose a huge chunk of their customers and people make the long trip down to Hersey instead Edited February 28 by Helix 1
ATRL Moderator feelslikeadream Posted February 28 ATRL Moderator Posted February 28 I used to ride this on school trips to Six Flags and never even knew it was apparently iconic until I entered this thread RIP to Miss Ka!
Almodusa Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Wish I did get to ride it. Just been there once for my 8th grade trip but KK was closed that day.
Taste of Honey Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Really is the end of an era with this being gone and Top Thrill being changed.
Rogue_Redux Posted February 28 Posted February 28 I was there the day it officially opened and I've always been scared to actually ride it. Now I kinda regret it lol.
LostInStereo100 Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Awww that's so sad. I grew up in PA and went on this ride a lot
Archetype Posted February 28 Posted February 28 People went to Six Flags specifically to go on Kingda Ka. What a random and weird decision. It was one of the best rides in their portfolio. 2
BlahBlahBlah Posted February 28 Posted February 28 I thought this was reporting an accident involving people for a second there, whew
coney island Posted February 28 Posted February 28 I will never understand this decision since they announced it. Kingda Ka was THE rollercoaster there.
