I will say it's useful for embedding videos, I'm not sure if there's any other sites other than tiktok that can do that here. But yes let's ban it, **** Elon :clap3:

Bluesky and Mastodon need embed support first before an X ban is considered.

I do believe this would make for better quality threads. Dumping that platform is something all of us should have done a while ago, anyway.

Bluesky doesn't have embedding yet?!? wtf. I was just thinking it was time to get an account but idk if it's worth it yet. 
 

I rarely use twitter as is and I definitely don't use it for news or sources so it really wouldn't negatively impact me if ATRL were to ban its use. If it's on Twitter then it should be elsewhere if it's actually newsworthy. Might even encourage some fact checking.

Yes. It's time to actively fight against these right-wing extremists, including online. I deleted my account a long time ago and never looked back. I don't even have Instagram anymore. Just BlueSky, YT and Reddit. I thought it was good that people switched to Rednote. We need that energy. We need alternatives to the old social media sites.

people saying no just for convenience…come on, many other outlets will report the same and worst case a screenshot will do. Can't believe I'm reading this argument from lgbtq members.
 

people saying no because they think it won't make a difference, it does, Atrl would join a lot of other websites doing it and it's one of the most direct ways to take a stand.

Embed support is a small sacrifice to make here in the big scheme of things, and the more people bluesky the faster they'll implement it

Never made sense to me how Rowling is banned topic on this forum, but people are allowed to post X links, any little thing that comes to Elon's head, Candace Owen videos etc

Fair point. I guess I'm too cynical about the world to believe I can change anything but you're right, there's power in numbers. In that case I change my tune - let's ban it. Twitter already feels like it's dying. I used to always talk to people on there and now rarely get any replies.
