What do you do when you are sad?

After some recent political events my spirits are low and I'm starting to lose hope in humanity.

How do you regain your sense of inner peace in these situations?

Focus on your own mental health and well being first, delve into your creative or personal goals and if your really feeling it show up for your immediate community and maybe even join a group! trust me you are not the only person feeling that way.

Hook up with someone hot or go for a run.

Cut everyone out and disappear off social media and in my social life for months. All I'm doing is work, a few nice things with some friends and seeing my parents. Everything else I've stopped for my own sanity for now :deadbanana4:

Month 3 so far and still going strong

I wish it worked this way for me too :rip: cutting everyone out just makes me feel lonelier

Counterattack it by doing what's fun to you. Could be traveling, shopping, playing video games, exercising, learn a new skill!

As someone who smoked weed everyday for 5 years, this definitely does more harm than good in the long run

it's actually wild to me how many people don't understand the power of simply moving your body

Exercise helps, but often times I'll write, too. Even if I just end up rambling to myself and not putting down anything profound, it always ends up being a net positive for my emotions in the long run to put my thoughts into some kind of words and have a page (or pages) full of it by the time I'm done. Sometimes I surprise myself with how meaningful my thoughts are, and sometimes the words just sour and I look back on it all years after the fact and just cringe at myself.

In either case, doing something to process what you're feeling is incredibly important.

Watch Hyunjin edits and just looking at his face has been the best therapy yet

honestly I've suffered depression bad for over 10 years not much helped and made me happy but ever since I discovered SKZ and they are so positive and always giving love and advice to there fans  no matter what age you are I think I found my happy place

Even if it's just a hobby or a friend giving you that high it helps

Plus avoiding dating has been healthy as for someone with no proper disagosed of bpd I've never wanted to date because it's just me overthinking, yelling at them or putting them in my fp category but I have learnt single is okay
