I dont personally like him and not trying to defend him, but he was actually on a legendary level in the UK/Australia + famous all over Europe and Latin America way before most people in those territories even knew who previusly-local country star Taylor Swift was. This so much, Robbie has filled a 50.000 capacity stadium 2 times here in Argentina. Not a single US country/rap artist has played there as of yet.

taylor is very knowledgeable about pop music in general, so i doubt that's the case, especially with someone with such an iconic song as angels
