Can on the steam deck as well, but Switch emulations generally have performance issues so yah  not ideal. Plus AC has a very decent multiplayer and Pokemon has online functionality as well so there's that.

Eventually yes but I will wait until a big exclusive that's must play for me, like a mainline Pokemon or a Fire Emblem. Buying consoles on day 1 when the library is **** is a bit mystifying to me.

Who knows maybe it will launch with a galactic slay exclusive and I'll have no choice but to be a day oner

Preliminary yes bc it seems like a meaningful upgrade. Good launch titles will make it confirmed.

Yes, since I own all of Nintendo's systems, but when I'll buy one depends on how good the launch games are. The Switch started off strong those first two years because they had most Wii U games re-released for it. I even stuck to playing BOTW on my Wii U instead of getting a Switch. I didn't really feel like I was missing out on much until 2019, but if they decide to launch Switch 2 with some strong titles, I'll buy it this year.

I was burned last cycle. Overpriced, half assed games. broken joycons. Constant remasters of things i had already played on the wii U/games that were just worse sequels of better games. 

 

Ill see what the library looks like when Nintendo tries to take more money from us with the hardware refresh in a few years

It really depends on the launch titles for me. If they launch with the new Mario Kart and then something else (like a new Metroid) then I will consider. If not I will wait a few months until they have something that I need to play. (Then I will buy another when they release a pokemon edition)

Yes but I want a "fun" special edition switch 2 like a Mario, smash or other game-themed one.

I mean, the most important thing about a console is the power it packs, especially since the Switch was only missing that and games looked and ran like ass for the most part besides Nintendo's offerings. You can't really judge by the look of it, otherwise almost all consoles have barely changed in the past.

 

I'll be buying it when the exclusive Pokemon, 3D Mario or Zelda comes. OR if Pokemon Legends Z-A is cross-gen and looks or runs significantly better on the new one.

I was going to wait for the Switch 2 Pro but I don't think I have enough discipline for it   I think I'll buy it. I'd like to play Xenoblade Chronicles X DE on the Switch 2.

Yes, I just can't skip the next Zelda/Xenoblade/3D Mario/Metroid Prime, and Switch 2 will probably have even better third-party support than Switch.
