Xtina23 Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Robbie Williams confirmed that Xtina pretended not to know him at a club on WWHL. Looking back at their history, Robbie wrote some things about Xtina in his autobiography, and she wasn't having it. While declining a duet with him, she also shaded Mariah in 2004 for a 2-for-1 special: Robbie may have been bearing a slight grudge against Christina at the time of writing because she turned down the opportunity to duet with him. She said of the offer, "I find him charming but our styles are too different. It wouldn't work. He should try Mariah Carey - she likes duets." https://www.irishexaminer.com/lifestyle/arid-30170917.html 12
Popular Post king_queen Posted January 15 Popular Post Posted January 15 Funny she said that about Mariah. Now everybody born within the last 18 years only knows Xtina for her duets 1 2 50 1
nostalgic Posted January 15 Posted January 15 To be fair most Americans wouldn't recognize him at a club either 2 1

Mtjjproducer Posted January 15 Posted January 15 She's like the rest of us Americans don't know who he is she she wasn't pretending 1 1
Popular Post suburbannature Posted January 15 Popular Post Posted January 15 I don't even get the Mariah shade. Yeah, she loves duets because she has musicality and knows how to blend rather than just screaming with no melody. 18 12 11 7
tost1 Posted January 15 Posted January 15 I really don't understand who is shading who here but Robbie's Feel is lowkey the best song of all time 2 1
ChooseyLover Posted January 15 Posted January 15 I love Robbie. Unlike many other celebs when confronted with things they did in the past, he held himself accountable and recognized he said some rude things that probably made things worse, on top of tabloids being the way they were. And he said really nice things about her as well, if I were Xtina maybe I would reach out to him. 5
BionicWooHoo Posted January 15 Posted January 15 I have no ill will towards this man but the only reason I know who he is now is because in the last month, I saw a few TikToks dragging him saying why does he have a biopic when no one knows him outside of the UK 2 7
May Posted January 15 Posted January 15 but wait… im imagining it and Christina & Robbie's voices would actually go really well together. she missed a HIT 2
Popular Post Bimbo Posted January 15 Popular Post Posted January 15 She really thought she was going to be on top forever 24
Shelter Posted January 15 Posted January 15 I'll never get her attitude in those days. The fact that he is bigger than her now too. 6

He was ubiquitous in Europe around that time, theres no way she wouldve gone to the UK/europe as often as she did and not been aware of his existence. 3 1

And FTM includes zero interaction with another vocalist. 1 10 2
YourHonesty Posted January 16 Posted January 16 This is so confusing. He said something negative about her in a book or interview from 2004 (?) and he thinks that's why she pretended not to know who he was at a club? And I'm guessing whatever he wrote was based on her turning him down for a duet? It just seems like a very grand assumption for someone who is completely unknown in the US. 3
