Taylor fanboy Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago You can find other albums from other artists in the vein of anyone's discography, and Taylor Swift, despite the success of her catalogue, is no exemption to it. Debut album of a small town girl? Coming of age? Self-written stunts? Heartbreak? Synthpop? Love songs? Folk pop? Winter? Nighttime? Poetry? You can all find this in another album and not miss Taylor's artistry and lore. BUT reputation… One can say Britney's Blackout, Gaga's Born This Way, Rihanna's Rated R etc. but NO. Those are different, and unique narratives of those pop legends. To each their own. reputation is pure Swiftian lore, Taylor in her most meta, vulnerable, and maximalist, at the height of both her fame and infamy. Do you agree? 1 1

Joaco95 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago (edited) No. First time when I listened to this album I was expecting something really dark as it is very hyped by her own fanbase (and that's how they describe it but black and white pics=\= dark) but tbh is just another typical Taylor album with with synths and that trendy hiphop sound from that age. Is not really that good and I don't understand why it is so loved by her fans other than the corny lyrics on LWYMMD in response to Kanye/Kim (kinda iconic in pop culture but corny asf) Edited 4 hours ago by Joaco95 1 1
SharGaga Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Folklore saved me multiple times from going to a dark place in 2020 and in many ways listening to it made my life a little bit brighter at the time. The album felt like a warm hug at the time and will always be indispensable to me. 1

Mocha Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago So it goes is so haunting and beautiful, i love it. the tasteless atrl swifties sabotaged ha in the last megarate
Sawk Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Reputation used to be my fave until like last year when folklore passed it as my favorite, but REPUTA is a VERY close second, blondie showed RANGE on this album like no other Call It What You Want is top 5 on Tay's discography btw
Gladiator Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Yes but mostly because it took the narrative that was being used against her and she marketed for her profit. It was a genius move. If she went the other way, I am left wondering if she would be as big as she is today.
Saintlor Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Her best album theme, best album title, best music... Sad that she will never be able to recreate this magic
Mr. Duff Posted 33 minutes ago Posted 33 minutes ago Umm, no. Folklore and Evermore are. Speak Now to an extent. I actually think reputation is one of the easier dispensable Taylor albums
every1blinks Posted 33 minutes ago Posted 33 minutes ago I just flipped through the rep magazines ugh you just had to be there reputation, I will always love you
Gui Blackout Posted 13 minutes ago Posted 13 minutes ago 4 hours ago, Joaco95 said: The way her fans been begging for the tv says otherwise but whatever It is more loved by casual fans cause it's her most "pop girl" era and it's an easy entry point to her music. Real swifties wanted Red, or even 1989 more.
