MoonGoodandHappy Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago (edited) Are you nostalgic of the 2023 Barbie era ? What was better : Barbie era or Brat era ? 2023 Barbie era : 2024 BRAT era : Edited 11 hours ago by MoonGoodandHappy
Rogue_Redux Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago **** no. It was highly annoying and I'm glad it's over. 3 1
Gladiator Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago no. I found the barbie era highly cringe. I'm nostalgic for future nostalgia / chromatica / heaven & hell / the album / <covid> era Love brat tho. 4
Klein Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago I'm torn on the matter. Summer 2023 was so great in terms of pop culture with the combination of Barbie (and associated music), Eras Tour and Renaissance Tour (and their associated tour film), but on a personal level, summer 2024 was simply the best (and was the year I actually attended The Eras Tour). So I'm not sure which one I'm more nostalgic towards. 2
Gorjesspazze9 Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Barbie feels like it came out last year. Omg, time moving so fast. Wtf
ChooseyLover Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago (edited) I'm nostalgic about the Barbie era where Barbie wasn't weaponized and used for any ideological agenda, and the dolls were better and the animated films kept dropping (which had very different themes), and they didn't alienate their audience portraying men as evil and dumb disposable garbage for validation. ICLDXU4HS Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Barbie remains a mid ass unfunny movie with comedy for 3-year-olds everyone pretended to like for social media and even Charli's song for it was ****. Thanks for reminding me Dance the Night exists, though, WHEW. 1
Jotham Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Barbie, but I'm biased because 2023 in generally was just a great year for me.
Top Dash Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Barbie gave us this masterpiece so I think it's even 3
psychodiva336 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Barbie era was so much fun, it was superior to br*t era in every way. Not to mention the beautifully ironic Oppenheimer premiere happening at the same time
Cain Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I didn't really care for Barbie but I loooooved being in the movie theatre with people that are dressed up in theme. We need to bring that BACK, that was so fun

a_d_22 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I thought both were cringey af. I guess I'd pick Barbie though cause at least watching that, as annoying as it was, was way more tolerable than listening to that ugly green album.
opticalillusion Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago are we really comparing? Barbie era was a global phenomenon. Brat ''era'' was just something very very niche

A lot of music came out during that time too so plenty to choose from. The world was positive looking forward as COVID was slightly starting to fade away. OT: Neither
Princess Aurora Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) Summer 2023 was so much fun. Summer 2024 was chaotic on the other hand Edited 1 hour ago by Princess Aurora
A Million Lights Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Speed Drive is the better Barbie era song Oh Charli, the defining songstress of the 2020s 1
Cheers Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Both will be remembered for being overrated and overexposed I don't get why BRAT got so much more love than Crash. A catchy aesthetic is really all it takes sometimes
