Unfortunately I don't think so, but I think it would have been a better choice than DWYW in the long run, especially with an iconic video to accompany it.

 

I think the combination of Gaga releasing her most boundary-pushing / polarizing music at the same time where the public kind of liked the idea of her downfall was unfortunate. In theory, if Joanne had come first, people may have liked it more. I don't think people were ready for Artpop.

 

However nowadays I think it could be a hit. Everything-but-the-kitchen-sink pop seems to be in a better place now than it was in 2013.
