As of January 10, every Björk album is available in Dolby Atmos on Apple Music except for 2011's Biophilia. Even soundtrack album Selmasongs is available in the format.

 

What gives? Why is one of Björk's best albums being shunned like this? Is it simply an oversight? A lack of taste? Or is there some kind of anti-science agenda over at Apple Inc.?

not when Thunderbolt, Cosmogony, Sacrifice, Mutual Core and Solstice are all career highlights

 

regardless, if Fartopia can get Atmos then Biophilia deserves it too

It would be a waste of money to master that album into Dolby Atmos. I always forget of that album's existence and I've probably listened to it once in full and never went back.

Clueless tasteless mfers. One of her best albums. The beginning of her divorce — so deeply felt that she could only compare it to the shifting of tectonic plates. I hope you all rot in hell.

To actually answer the OP's question, maybe it has something to do with the way it was recorded and mixed originally? It might be the most complex one to revisit.

I've just revisited it and it's a great album tbh, so much better than Utopia and Fossora.
