But yes, #1s don't really mean anything.

I mean I don't think that's necessarily true because it does mean something. It means that while at #1 the artist had the most popular song in the country, against every other song out there. That's still a great feat.

Years of certain fans screaming "No solo #1 since the Bush administration!" to suddenly saying "A number one is a number one, solo doesn't matter"

Some sneaky base in here trying to rewrite the history I see. :eli:

Number of solo #1 hits from these girls

Taylor - 10 (2012-2023)

Beyoncé - 4 (2006-2024)

Britney - 4 (1999-2011)

Gaga - 2 (2009-2011)

Christina - 3 (1999-2000)

Not Xtina career span just in one year. 200w.gif?cid=82a1493bnuq4csuvarbs3h0255y Gaga seem very huge in the 2008 and onward but surprisingly she only had 2 hits song on hot 100. :deadbanana4:

And congrats on Taylor, Beyoncé and Britney with their hits span over 10 years. :clap3:

2011 is wild. s:wan:

she stopped using the gays and the gays stopped using her, that why her ballads are hits but her gay music not :giraffe: (for gaga i mean, britney just wanted to go home at that point)

2022 singles
Hold Me Closer - 250k daily #6 - #23 23 weeks on BB100
Hold My Hand - 160k daily #49 10 weeks on BB100
Break My Soul - 112k daily #1 multiple weeks,  17 weeks charting  (brand new 2024 30 track album this year, Super Bowl aired to 30m people just last month)

Looks like having recent solo #1s mean nothing if they are frontloaded and completely forgotten :deadbanana2:

HMC total streams: 450k (not bad)

HMH total streams: 348k :rip:

BMS total streams: 471k (close to britney COLLAB)

btw, last britney solo #1 is doing 16k daily, meanwhile beyonce's run the world flop single from the same year is doing 134k daily

So those are her last solo and collab songs and yet none is over 100k, most are under 15k daily :gaycat6: none have out streamed the solo Break My Soul, all you proved is that she needed an old popular song to remix and Elton John to get to 250k daily, that's tragic.

Britney's last song to have more streams than BMS was released in 2008

Meanwhile Always Remember Us This Way doing 1M streams yesterday which is more than some of these #1s, so a #1 peak literally means nothing. We like longevity here. :1stplace:

But Bradley, Ariana, Bruno, Colby O'Donis...

A little reminder that:

Solo #1 = featuring #1 = Billboard Hot 100 #1:giraffe: Doesn't matter the mental gimmicks some of you want to play.
