sunbathinganimal Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Saw this on Reddit and thought it would be interesting to ask atrl the same question about pop girl albums Name an album that is universally beloved/acclaimed but you don't get the hype. No downvoting allowed 1 1
sunbathinganimal Posted 14 hours ago Author Posted 14 hours ago I've always thought was 1989 was fine but uninteresting and flavourless, and I'm always surprised when people name it among the best pop albums of the 21st century 3

KatyPrismSpirit Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Just now, sunbathinganimal said: please be specific KatyPrismSpirit I asked for albums To name a few; Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, Revolver, even Abbey Road. During lockdown I listened to most of their work and I was pretty shocked to find out The Beatles' catalog was kinda dull and boring. to me personally not that groundbreaking and I couldn't really resonate with it. I think there is far better music that was released during their time (Jimi Hendrix, Aretha Franklin, Miles Davis, Marvin Gaye) and don't think they should be hailed as the greatest musicians that ever lived because to me they are genuinely not. 2
Galaxy Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago About 99% of the albums from bands that are always on those "Best Of All Time" lists like Radiohead, Pink Floyd, The Cure, etc. I'm not straight enough ig 1

LoveInStereo Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Sour. Guts is fantastic & she has a long career ahead of her but that first album is downright bad.
GraceRandolph Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Cowboy Carter. Jolene was done dirty, and the whole project has a mixtape vibe, although there are a couple bops. 1
HeavyMetalAura Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Glory by Britney. I'm glad she got her spark back after Britney Jean and it's objectively good quality I guess, but she basically just did her best Selena Gomez impression. There are some great and really interesting songs on there, don't get me wrong. But it's inessential. I never return to it, and I'm a huge Britney stan.
