This chart makes no sense, 25 is 11x platinum and it's #50 :rip:  and yeah I know it's about chart points which still makes no sense.

Devils advocate: How does it not make sense if it's about chart points :thing:

ot: streaming era strikes again tho I don't see anyone else matching his top ten records for a while I guess :thing:

Because if you debuted at #1 with 100k or debuted at #1 with 2M sales, you still get the same chart points :skull: :skull:

At the end of the day, what matters is how many copies/SPS-equivalent the album has accumulated

So that means 25 selling 3.3 million in one week has the same chart points of Yeat selling 89k last year when he debuted at #1  :thing:

Because this list is basically a list of the biggest albums of the 21st century and they'll basically put albums that charted for 93847345834573895364 weeks so high even if they're like 3x platinum but albums that sold way more in less time are placed way too low, see My Turn: it's top 10 and the album is 4x platinum :rip:  and the list goes on.

It's basically based on positions rather than numbers.

People on here always have such a hard time interpreting Billboard's lists, they're really not that hard to understand lmao

Yes. A mess, it's bigger than Thriller and 21 according to these Billboard lists  :skull:

I feel Dangerous isn't #1 all-time. If it was, I would think Billboard would have updated the all-time chart. I'm hopeful them doing a 21st century list first means that the multiplier has been lowered for albums 2010 and forward, and we get Thriller or Rumours at #1 for the all-time chart instead. I mean, Rumours has accumulated its stats since 1977. It's outlasted 21, and likely going to outlast Dangerous (it came close these past few weeks).

It's funny how yall pick and choose when you want to believe Billboard's lists. :lmao:

When they put Beyoncé at the top of the Greatest Popstar list, it was a sham. Then they name Taylor Swift as their Top Artist and suddenly we trust Billboard again! And now they put Morgan Wallen at the top of their Top Albums list and suddenly we don't trust Billboard again. Shocker!

One list is subjective. The rest are based on actual factual metrics. Deal with it.

Yeah it's a billboard list and not a Nielsen soundscan one so that makes sense :suburban:

why would they be in the top 100? all their albums tend to have terrible longevity.

Meet Miley Cyrus at #57! :clap3:

Yeah, streaming albums are going to dominate any GOAT rankings from now on. They benefit from overly stable chart runs due to the stagnant climate of Billboard charts now.

Does anyone have a list of the albums that have moved the most units in the 21st century?

Grammy award is subjective. Billboard Music award is based on actual factual metrics. Which accolade is more prestigious?

Teenage Dream literally spent 400+ weeks on BB200 and is still at #120 something this week lmao

Lower half in billboard 200 chart means very few points. Weeks at #1, top 10 get high points. TD has none of those.

How many units is 21 at right now? Dangerous will probably do more in the long run I guess, this album refuses to die

My comments:

1) Lots of Taylor
2) ASIB soundtrack is already above Teenage Dream. Surprising.
3) Beyonce's albums are pretty low lol
4) ANTI is surprisingly low
5) TTPD is already in the top 200 lol

I don't think that matters much when she's placed more albums in the top 200 than any other female artist besides Taylor, and top 4 overall.

I just checked the certifications, and it was certified 14x platinum in Sept. 2016. It should be somewhere near 15x platinum by now, so I'd say around 15M units.
