Aside from Selena Gomez who is actually musically untalented, which artists do ATRLers love to call untalented but actually have talent?

I'll start. Rihanna is actually a talented singer, but she is just a lazy ass performer.

 

If she actually tried to work on her live performance abilities, she'd be a solid performer.

She's able to get away with lazy live performances because she has the it factor and makes bangers.

Katy Perry has always been downplayed not just on ATRL but with many critics. Shes a great performer, good singer, she wrote a wide array of excellent pop songs. Just because her last album is bad doesn't take that away.

Taylor is the obvious answer. Not many of the other girls faves can sit down at a piano or pick up a guitar and play any one of their 100s of songs on the cuff without any support or backup. She's a real musician.

I will say that Katy does not have zero talent. She can help write a catchy song, and can sing without sounding horrible. She can also put on an entertaining show.

Tate. She has my favourite vocal tone for any pop girl atm. Also, I saw her live and she has a beautiful head voice/falsetto as well. You can particularly hear it when she sings Calgary.

when i talk about singing talent, i imagine it's about being effortlessly good at singing, having the ability to emote and change style to fit different genres.

i agree she has a very good tone but how her voice sound like is not a talent. you can call that a gift from her parent tho

It's true, nobody could touch her at her peak except Janet
