If only Dua woke up and released Whatcha Doing as a single after Illusion tanked. A Whatcha Doing Remix with The Weeknd or Bruno Mars () could've literally saved the era. Oh dudu… Whatcha did to Radical Optimism can't be forgiven me thinks

Whatcha Doin to me could have been a hit, but the hits that got away on that album to me were these walls, falling forever, and maria. I feel like if Dua had finished the album and dropped it in Q1 2023 then she would not have underperformed like she did. also houdini's extended should have been the official version of that song. 

 

All Dua needed to do was:

 

(1) Lead Single extended Houdini in fall/winter 22 or early 23;

(2) Extended album cover (gorgeous red hair diving dua) as original album cover;

(3) Better Music Videos and a bombardment of performances on tv;

(4) The album should have already been released when Dance the Night came out.

I'm not sure if it would have been a US hit but I think with a feature and enough push from Warner (which means investing much more in playlisting since yet again they seemed to prioritize radio over it which I don't get) it could have been a smash in Europe like Houdini.
