The Satellite, ASTRA 2x and Cannes actress winner is not taken seriously by the industry cuz she's lost her DOUBLE (tv and movie) Golden Globe nom — something that is very hard to get. 

I wish u guys knew how dumb u all look to everyone that is not a Selena hater, cuz its so easy to see how pathetic and biased it is. 
Being double nominated at the same year for an acting award like GG is a HUGE deal.

Selena is still getting her feet wet when it comes to serious roles. I can see her winning one of the major awards by the time she's 40. And like everyone has already mentioned being nominated alone is being taken serious.

Every video I recently watched of Selena is basically her belittling herself and it's so weird because you're this famous person, rich and successful, yet she keeps doubting herself. Her confidence is in the toilet. Somebody must have installed this in her head.

Demi Moore has suffered enough during her career, no need to compare her to Selena Gomez. 

 

OT: She's clearly well connected and good at networking, which is why she's gotten some support from the industry (The Golden Globes love nominating big names so they aren't really reputable like the Emmy's and Grammy's), but I think she's hit a ceiling. I was honestly curious about her Emilia Perez performance since she had the likes of Meryl campaigning for her but she stuck out like a sore thumb against Zoe and Karla; OMITB is good for her because it's not asking for too much depth as an actress and she can fall back on her sardonic schtick from Wizards of Waverly Place. It's also very clear she cares way too much what people think (just look at her response to being asked to perform a song from the movie she's in lol).

She is. She's been nominated for like every major music and acting award (except for the Oscars yet). She has not won any of the major awards yet but being nominated is still a big achievement, and she'll definitely win one day. It's a matter of time, let's be real.
