base talk Selena Gomez isn't taken seriously by the music, TV, and film industries, why?

While no one denies her luck to get occasional hits, it's not a secret that the music industry has never taken the singer of "Love On" seriously. In her 16-year career, she has only received 2 Grammy noms, none for her studio albums.

 

On multiple occasions, Selena has said she would take a break from music to focus on acting. Even though the actress from "Getaway" has been part of some top-notch productions, her solo work has never been recognized by the TV/Film industry, as this is the 4th consecutive year she has lost a Golden Globe nomination, which just adds to her big fat zero wins out of six Emmy noms

 

What would Selena Gomez need to HAVE or do to finally be taken seriously in this industries? Or should she simply stop trying?

Er.... you realize that even being nominated for an Emmy and a Golden Globe is being recognized right? They pick 5 people out of the thousands working to highlight the quality of their work. In fact, I would say Selena has had great success in her film and tv work, considering she only started taking it seriously a few years ago.

Even though she didn't win she still was nominated for almost every major award which is enough validation and proves that yes, she's taken seriously somehow.

You are so ignorant. Do you not realize how big it is that she is even nominated? Demi Moore for example didn't win a Golden Globe in 45 YEARS and is a very respected actress. The fact that they nominate her all the time shows she is taken serious. That in it's self is huge, but please go on. Tell me more how you know nothing about how this stuff works.

 

There are so many actors that never even get a nomination.
