thirdward Posted Sunday at 01:48 AM Posted Sunday at 01:48 AM album is dead anyway, the show couldn't save it (I doubt visuals will) and now she's being dragged for doing propaganda (allegedly) / being in cahoots with the NFL (hm well kinda) now imagine if beybowl picked up from her first halftime show so songs from ST (DIL country remix) , LEM (daddy lessons, hold up country remix), REN (bms, cuff it) and CC (yaya, THE, levi) or a medley from the 3 acts… idk
Taylor fanboy Posted Sunday at 01:51 AM Posted Sunday at 01:51 AM Bodyguard on GRAMMYs first then release the remix with Sabrina Carpenter.

I forgot to add that song to the OP i think highlighting CC's strongest point like yaya, bodyguard and obviously the hit THE would've done a better job at promoting the album bc why during an halftime show the only song ppl really knew came out at the end 1
CristianGarcia Posted Sunday at 01:58 AM Posted Sunday at 01:58 AM No. You can tell towards the end you started to feel the crickets… They tried to make it seem like "Texas Hold 'Em" was the big moment but everybody knows that song wasn't big enough to carry a whole halftime…. 1

PrettyHurts Posted Sunday at 02:11 AM Posted Sunday at 02:11 AM bey doesnt really care that much about commercial performance when it comes to choosing what to perform. she's always believed in performing songs like theyre hits even if they arent 1
Slap Posted Sunday at 02:14 AM Posted Sunday at 02:14 AM Senorita and Havana aren't enough for a halftime show. 3
l3disko Posted Sunday at 02:18 AM Posted Sunday at 02:18 AM No, CC was dead before the show and dead after the show. She should've done a halftime show for Renaissance instead. 1 1
Yes, AND Posted Sunday at 02:23 AM Posted Sunday at 02:23 AM No. It was very boring. Putting it on streaming and calling it Beyonce Bowl or whatever is even more cringe. 1 1 4
Attaboy Posted Sunday at 02:24 AM Posted Sunday at 02:24 AM That was not the right place for 16 Carriages and Blackbird. Everything on the field was great

ATRL Moderator supaspaz Posted Sunday at 02:25 AM ATRL Moderator Posted Sunday at 02:25 AM Deserve, as though a halftime show is something that you need to earn. Bey puts on a fucking performance, and that's all that matters. Most of her peers wouldn't be half as entertaining, even with a hit album. 8 1
The Music Industry Posted Sunday at 02:25 AM Posted Sunday at 02:25 AM Well no. It all felt forced. 2

She's there to entertain and it's a bit self-indulgent tbh to assume general viewers/ people watching a football game care to see some of the songs for 13 minutes or however long It's to her benefit as well to keep the set list tight and on-target for the event. People respond better
Beyondslay Posted Sunday at 02:32 AM Posted Sunday at 02:32 AM Absolutely! she's barely acknowledged the album since it's release!
CBC Posted Sunday at 02:32 AM Posted Sunday at 02:32 AM It's on netflix for some reason and my sister decided to put it on during dinner. Was one of the fastest dinners ever, we even skipped dessert. My mum didn't recognize Bey at first. I'd say no it wasn't 2

It's not really about her performing skills or the production etc, that's something no one can come for but I felt like it could've been an opportunity to showcase a discography a bit more

Rotunda Posted Sunday at 03:23 AM Posted Sunday at 03:23 AM A 10 minute medley of an album that has damn near 30 tracks is the least she could do actually. 1
JackOfHearts Posted Sunday at 03:24 AM Posted Sunday at 03:24 AM Short answer: no. Long answer: It wasn't her best album, it wasn't even really a good album. It was sure a long album tho. I preferred her Lemonade medley over this. They really relied heavily on Texas Hold 'Em to be a "aha, we're in Texas!" moment, and it… idk, I hate that song personally, it feels like such a "I'm one of you" moments when her whole shtick for the past decade has been this otherworldly Goddess vibe and it feels so disingenuous. I'm really excited for Act III if it does turn out to be a rock album, but for this last part, it felt kinda phoned in to me. Renaissance was ok, but CC felt like a cash-grab and I kinda hope it didn't pay off. Ya Ya was nice at least. 1
