I'm not really familiar with her. I live in the UK, and her song 'Messy' has been everywhere lately. It seems like she's getting a similar treatment to Sabrina Carpenter on Apple Music. Is she trending on TikTok? I've listened to her song a few times, and I do like it.

Idk about "payola" per se but when you're signed to a major label, if you start to show real traction and are getting a hit, a lot of $$$ will be put behind you. It's how the music industry works. The streaming services also want to get behind a hit and a hot new artist because they want to stay relevant and want people to listen to their playlists, same as what MTV did back in the day. The industry rallies around whoever is streaming and selling well.
