Kesha - Eat The Acid, Appreciation Thread

With the Keshaissance occurring this year, I revisited Gag Order recently and remembered this crazy ass song she put out in an otherwise very boring year for pop music.

Gag Order can be hard to get through with all the raw emotion and painful storytelling, but this song is so cool, what other 2010s former main pop girl is making such eclectic music like this nowadays?

Easily one of her best songs & albums. A shame that 99% of people don't even know it exists.

I love that Kesha is finally free, but honestly, I think it's time for her to go back to something more upbeat... but also something lively and with quality, not a "High Road" 2.0. That album is a total mess, and in a bad way.

:clap:definitely an evolution for her in terms of realness in her lyricism

Her magnum opus. I just wish it wasn't under the circumstances she was under.

such a haunting, stunning song. rick rubin totally understands kesha's musical style and accommodated it very well on gag order.

Joyride and Delusional say hi? All the snippets she's been posting are all upbeat. Not sure what you're talking about sis

It made it to my Top 10 that year, but I think it was the only track I saved to my library from Gag Order.

Oh wait, there was one other, Only Love Can Save Us.

But this one, definitely one of my all-time favourite Kesha songs.

An actual masterpiece, I still can't believe how incredible it is. No other pop girl is capable of something this good and that's a fact

All of Gag Order should've gone diamond the way it did in my house :clap3:

I immediately fell in love with this song the first time I listened to it. I remember exactly the moment. I was walking to a grocery store on a drizzly and a somewhat uncharacteristically chilly spring night in Denver. it was the perfect atmosphere. the sunset was intense looking and I was feeling very lonely at that moment. even though i've enjoyed psychedelics myself in the past, I still really enjoyed the candor of the lyrics and found it existentially relatable. one of her best :clap3:
