Nvm the fact that Metacritic itself codifies scores of 61+ as green, not 70+. And the cycle repeats.

It is understandable for Gaga because she is polarizing.

Unlike the top 3 who made the same album 2 or 3 times in a row. Imagine being one of the most decorated young artists (Billie), one of the most acclaimed artists (Olivia), and one of the biggest versatile hit machines (Dua Lipa) and being told you play it safe compared to Katy Perry 3
Jay L Posted Friday at 06:23 AM Posted Friday at 06:23 AM All of them have released iconic albums that people love and still listen to so the critics didn't have much of an impact on their careers it seems
KillingYourCareer Posted Friday at 09:24 AM Posted Friday at 09:24 AM Four great discographies, I love my ability to think independently from critics' opinions 3

K$Ellie Posted Friday at 09:34 AM Posted Friday at 09:34 AM yeah they're mostly singles artists Nicki has 0 good albums and the others only have 1-2

Gaga, Rihanna and Nicki have far more diverse discographies than the new girls who have benefited massively from poptimism and coddle culture Edited Friday at 09:39 AM by dumbsparce

An argument can be made for Dua but I've never heard anyone confusing any one of her hits with each other.
Princess Aurora Posted Friday at 10:20 AM Posted Friday at 10:20 AM Gaga should be higher and where's Carly Rae Jepsen?

Dolce Vita Posted Friday at 10:52 AM Posted Friday at 10:52 AM tbh the late 00s/early 10s pop girlies for the most part weren't critical darlings at all, and still suffered from unfair treatment 2
Digitalism Posted Friday at 11:20 AM Posted Friday at 11:20 AM Something something about critics being wrong In reality none of them have a perfect album. This is not surprising at all

I think the frequency often made the critics feel they were McAlbums but all of them have aged so well. Rated R, Loud, and Talk That Talk all sound amazing despite being over a decade old. Exactly this along with Unapologetic as well. Rih's discography has aged pretty well for someone who's music was deemed "fast food" music. 1
PopKills Posted Friday at 11:29 AM Posted Friday at 11:29 AM Thank you for proving critics don't mean anything once again <3
tost1 Posted Friday at 11:34 AM Posted Friday at 11:34 AM If she didn't release Not My Problem, Dua would be #1

Xtripped Posted Friday at 12:32 PM Posted Friday at 12:32 PM Honestly, who cares about critics? They're no different from any Atrl user.
UrMom Posted Friday at 12:59 PM Posted Friday at 12:59 PM Yeah Rih's discography is excellent, super underrated. The first two albums were a little shaky (with some great singles and a few killer album tracks), but Good Girl Gone Bad and everything since has been flawless. 1
