BrokenMachine Posted Thursday at 08:58 PM Posted Thursday at 08:58 PM Absolutely not. It was already a nightmare when she kept adding it to her tours

It has to do with the history of the song. Madonna originally wanted it as the first single, but Warner said no, and pushed for 4 Minutes. After that, she has been slapping it in every single tour (with the exception of MXT and Celebration). She absolutely loves the song.
Loca Posted Thursday at 09:37 PM Posted Thursday at 09:37 PM Any Madonna song deserves more success than Cruel Summer. But yes, especially those from Hard Candy.
SlowGinFizzzz Posted Thursday at 09:41 PM Posted Thursday at 09:41 PM Honestly yes! And Miles Away too while we're at it. 3
Loca Posted Thursday at 09:41 PM Posted Thursday at 09:41 PM Move your body, catch me from across the floor Everybody's watchin', but I just wanna give you more Don't care 'bout nothin', I've fallen for your love in the worst way So move closer, cause I can feel your body rise The heat from you and I just had to fantasize We're all alone now and I don't care what people have to say You don't have to be beautiful to be understood You don't have to be rich and famous to be good You just gotta give more more more than you ever have before And you gotta move fast fast fast if you want this good thing to last Let's dance tonight, dance tonight And prove I'll save the world And we'll hold hands tonight, hands tonight I'm just a boy, you're just a girl I wanna dance tonight, dance tonight Don't need no Diamonds and Pearls So take a chance tonight, chance tonight Let's prove ourselves to the world Do it, do it, let me turn you on Let the music pull you through it 'til the break of dawn Do it, do it, while the night is young Let the music pull you through it 'til the lights go on 2

loveisdead9582 Posted Thursday at 09:49 PM Posted Thursday at 09:49 PM Of all the Madonna songs THIS is the one you chose? I actually like the song but she has others that deserve it more.

She really lives in the future Quote The room was decked out in a candy theme, champagne was being served, candy everywhere you look for everyone. The conference room it was held in was totally transformed. There were red and white stripes & stools as the theme plus like colored bricks and lots of candy all over. Madonna dictated what tracks would be played and specifically said they were not being played in any order. She said she had just finished mixing the album a few days ago. Madonna played "Candyshop," then "4 Minutes To Save The World" first. She then had a vote on which one would be the first single. She said many times throughout the session that the first single has yet ot be decided. She is all about "Candy Shop" and looked upset and surprised there was a better reaction to "4 Minutes To Save The World". From the PopJustice forum lol 2

IBeMe Posted Friday at 12:34 AM Posted Friday at 12:34 AM is this the song she says "my bussy is clean" and then she talks about it being sticky or something? If yes, then that song should have been the 2nd single from Hard Candy. That sound in 2008 was everywhere and she would have had another hit instead of just 4 Minutes carrying the entire album...

While the urban pop vibe was dying a little by 2009 ish which is when that song would have been a single , Kanye was MASSIVE and could have helped make it huge too. I imagine the peaks being like: 4 Minutes - #3 Candy Shop - #8 Beat Goes On - #1 (1 week) Miles Away or Give it to Me - peak in the top 30 somewhere Edited Friday at 12:45 AM by IBeMe 1

I can't begin to imagine the death stares attendees were getting At this point, this song deserves legendary status alongside her other hits just for the kiis it's given us over the years. The irony of it all is that I absolutely LOVED the demo when it leaked but figured it was just that...a demo...and would get a much needed production and vocals upgrade. And, well...THAT didn't happen...

And it did well in Europe and Latin America too However she really should have pushed Beat Goes On in North America instead 1st single - 4 Minutes 2nd single - Beat Goes On (US) + Give It 2 Me (International) 3rd single - Devil Wouldn't Recognize You 4th single - Candy Shop 5th single - Incredible (strictly for dance club) 1
