A while back, Madonna recorded a secret collaboration with Katy Perry that is in potential contention for Madonna's forthcoming studio album.

As detailed here.

Since then Katy released her "143" album which was not received well by music fans and critics alike for reasons that have already been previously well documented (a brief recap is here).

Shortly before that, a long delayed but ultimately destined convergence occurred between The Queen and the original Princess of Pop - Kylie:

This collaboration generated a lot of social media coverage and a sense of "finally" among the fanbases of both Madonna and Kylie - fanbases which have always had significant overlap.

Additionally, Kylie has past form in breaking through the heavily segmented age demographic restrictions of mainstream Pop radio.

This is a key area where Madonna is anticipated to struggle upon her return.

Madonna has (for the most part) always steered on the right side of the zeitgeist in context of her creative output.

Unfortunately Katy has become a PR disaster and pop culture pariah.

Would it be a smart decision for Madonna to connect her brand with Katy? A lot has shifted since that recording session took place.

Madonna is no stranger to making sharp and strategic career moves when required.

Considering Katy's recent PR issues compared to the positive reception Kylie received while performing live with Madonna during an LA date on her "Celebration" tour - would it be a smarter and more strategic marketing choice for Madonna to remove Katy's vocals from their upcoming duet?

Such a move would likely end the longterm goodwill Katy has towards Madonna.

Would it be more advantageous for Madonna's manager, Guy Oseary, to discreetly organize for Kylie to come into Stuart Price's London studio and record her vocals for the track so that Katy's vocals can be swopped-out with Kylie's - prior to the later filming of an 'event' music video featuring both Madonna and Kylie that is conceptually and stylistically befitting of their separate yet significant legacies as recording artists?

Of course.

No artist in their right mind should be working with Katy.

No one in their right mind would want to associate themselves with Katy in any way shape or form. :bam:

She truly is.

I wonder if it's some sort of abandonment wound situation where she feels she needs to repel appreciation/love from her so that she can chase it 🤔

If the song slaps I wouldn't mind Katy on it. But if your point of view is wanting Madonna to get a hit - then I'd choose Kylie. I personally dont care about the politics of pop music and whether an artist is deemed a fad or not hot anymore. Madonna and Stuart Price are a match made in heaven… like Michael and Quincy and Justin and Timbaland. So whatever Madonna and Stuart create will be gold. It won't matter who they get to feature on it

There is no need to passively aggressively attack such a legendary icon. You should be grateful she is still with us and is actively working.

I mean, it's Kylie Minogue c'mon now. People have been waiting this collab for decades.

The Queen of Pop was busy recording music with fellow chart-topper Katy Perry hours before her shocking collapse last weekend, The Sun reports.

Not Katy related to the collapse of yet another member of the elderly. :ahh:

OT: ATRL told me all you need to smash are collabs so I say she should do it and Katy will for sure get a chart-topping song out of it :clap3:

Some of us here know how to conduct new age spiritual practices and don't necessarily like when legends of the pop culture sphere are age shamed.

You may forget this moment in time but you will one day reach Madonna's age. As JoJo Siwa once said "Karma's a *****".

Curious what this collaboration was for... I remember there were rumblings of a remix album with guest features around 2022 (I remember Katy and Miley being mentioned), but I guess that just turned out to be the Frozen remixes + Hung Up on Tokischa + MATERIAL GWORRLLL + Finally Enough Love?

Yeah collaborating with Katy would be dumb at this point, but a Kylie duet would be PERFECT
