MAMA was an excellent song and one of EXO's better releases.

Name another group who got all of their songs released in 2024 on the YE 2024 charts. 
 

NJ definitely didn't grow in success, but to act like they're flopping when they're still smashing is wild. It reminds me of everyone claiming Girls was a flop on ATRL…and then the era ended up being a smash.

NJ deserved TTH because they were organically popular from the start. They destroy LSF in every metric. Yet somehow LSF happens to be getting more playlisting than Aespa (despite doing worse). Let's not act like they aren't massive label pushes.

 

NJ were promoted as MHJ's new girl group. BTS fans latched on when they became commercially successful. It's not NJ's fault that nobody latched onto LSF's troubled debut.

MHJ is a marketing genius but NJ benefited the most from HYBE. 
LSRF would've done well without HYBE because they have Sakura & Chaewon 

organic please when attention was on TTH despite not charting on Spotify global

It was alleged some Chinese fans had it, but it never leaked. There is only one extremely short LQ snippet from outside the SM building of a song. 

 

I will be very surprised if the album ever leaks. All that hard work wasted, and it wasn't even J&K's fault. 

 

I also have a vague theory that Butterscotch was for their mini album. They randomly mentioned the word "Butterscotch" on their reality show in 2014 and their faces seemed like they were casually dropping a spoiler. Krystal's parts surfaced for a CF a couple years later, but mysteriously we only ever heard half of the song. It was never officially released. My suspicion is that they cut out the parts with Jessica's vocals.

You cannot tell me Jessica's vocals isn't on the KRYSTAL version.

So a nugu group is paid $68 per music show appearance, while a A LIST group be paid up to $342 per music show appearances.

But the median of companies spending on hair, makeup, staging for 2 weeks promotions is $41K.

 

No wonders big companies don't send their acts on music show or do only shorts promo cycle.

 

And fun fact, back in the day when that one shopping center was doing Thursdays gig and invited all the nugus, they paid around $200 to $1000 (depending on the reputation and recognitions of the groups) for a set. I guess bring back the PARKING LOT TOUR.
