Not really.  Before the Bighybe agreed to take over Pledis, CJENM had to remove whatever liabilities were present within the company, so their elimination became a condition of the sale.

 

They were "sold" to a former Pledis exec who left his current job as VP of Southeast Asia or something for SM to launch/rescue Hinapia.  But then covid came and the group lost their financing when a cargo ship of medical equipment wasn't allowed to port for weeks which caused the investor to freak out and exit from the endeavor.  Not an unusual story for girl groups in 2020-2023. 

 

Now, could Bighybe have helped a little?  There's plenty of kpop stories from 20 years ago where struggling agencies were helped out by established agencies during tough times.  But those times are gone.  It's just too dangerous to the big agencies to have random girl groups in the market place, as every once in a while, they become disruptive popular.

SM Traing staff member posted a pic earlier today, so rumors seem true they will be at the concert tonight! Official group name and all the members on stage is what I'm expecting.

The thing is, fx has so many great songs in a relatively small catalogue, and aespa would sound great with most of them. I can see them giving a Spicy like energy to Rum Pum x3, and I love the song SO much, I can't wait to hear those prerecorded harmonies
