What I don't get, is that people will say it's problematic because she was talking with a "blaccent" but hearing her talk that way and saying "that's what a black person talks like" isn't problematic?

Well I think she had an identity crisis before but she's finally accepted herself as she actually is… white!

I think if she doesn't go back to Blackiana you should let it go haha

I studied Ariana's """"switching personnality"""" from early Nickelodeon to late Nickelodeon to Yours Truly to ME to Sweetener to TUN to now.... I end up thinking she basically takes what she's around to:michael:

Personnality is something very fluid and it's more noticeable on some people. That depends on many things. Astrology lovers would say she's a water sign so that's normal for her to adapt to the environnement she is and merge with it. Without pushing that theory too far, i think it's a the case for her.

She worked on Glinda for 3 years so that's normal the character influenced her current personnality. When you listen to Eternal Sunshine you can clearly tell she's reaching for a large/older audience.

People did the same with Austin Butler who got "influenced by Elvis" but since he's a man, people are less judgy about it.

That woman is rightfully being called out for wearing my race like a costume and dipping when it served her no longer.

The funny part is "well there was nothing out of the ordinary" yeah, because minstrelsy has always been popular and normalized :deadbanana4:

A lot of white people do this, doesn't mean nobody should ever say anything. We just know people gonna say this is woke mob **** lol

That's not true. Anyone into film can tell you he's been clowned to death about this especially that season he was contending. Arians is a different case because she's had different voices and personalities over the years. From "blackiana" to this shy, theater girl persona now. Polar opposites. Butler was just the voice not just his whole personality.
