Take her to task all you want but at the end of the day, it just sounds like you're mad people dgaf. Move on. 1) so you chose to deflect 2) it's not Taylor Swift 4
KillingYourCareer Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 She changes her personality based on her image as the greatest actors do. Godga does the same. 1
Jay07 Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 (edited) In addition to changing as she grew older and who she surrounded herself with, she has said she had created a persona of who she thought "Ariana Grande" was, possibly as a defense mechanism. Edited December 31, 2024 by Jay07 4

However most drag/gay lingo is bastardized from black women so she was indirectly mimicking a black woman. Yup I was gonna say wasn't white gays talking like this too back in the day lmao
vuelve88 Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 She's an actor and she plays with different voices and personalities. Even during the Wicked press tours, her voice would subtly change depending on who she was with and how she comfortable she felt. Maybe it is a protective measure too.

Popboi. Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 Isn't this exactly what people wanted laughing at her for dropping the blaccent when she could've been an A-list version of Jesy Nelson in that regard is just...

Not speaking like that anymore? I don't get what the end goal here is. I mean yeah it was cringe but now what? Where do we go from here? 1
Domination Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 Pretty sure that Zach Sang interview was when she was popping pills and drinking excessively. It's not even a good reference point for her "blaccent".
Pendulum Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 she's just being ethnically ambiguous. it's the Italian in her. one minute she is north Italian, the other she's from Calabria or something 1
Body Talk Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 Sometimes I really wonder if some of you can really be as dense as you perform you are, because there is a clear difference between Snapchats and TikToks where she's altering her voice while goofing off and doing a bit versus actually trying to pass it off as her personality. Watch the Fallon interview from 2016 and it's hardly different from how she speaks in an interview now, just with higher placement (which she has addressed as a vocal/range preservation technique). There is so much material and plenty of viral interviews from her over the years and these 5-6 silly clips don't reflect how she speaks. Also posting an SNL sketch is beyond asinine. It's comedy acting. 2 4
Bimbo Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 It's only noticeable because of the uncanny valley act she has going on right now for Wicked press

Wed have to see what she can do with a dramatic role with no singing. Outside of wicked there's… hmmm Nickelodeon stuff and…. Those clips are already miles better than some people that released this year. People believed her. Something that cannot be said about the others 1
IVY Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 What I've noticed about Ariana is she will play a different character with every album she releases. It's not just about the outfits but also the attitude, the accent, the voice & character change.

Teenagers and young adults are impressionable and will often mimic the lingo of those who are around them and those they idolize in pop culture. If she was still doing it now, in her 30s, it would be weird. Thank God someone's using their critical thinking skills.
