Slap Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 (edited) When artists end up with a big catalogue they also end up with songs that were big in the moment but have been overshadowed by their biggest hits since. What are the forgotten hits by Britney, Bey, JLo, and Gaga? Share them here so we can bop. Here are mine: Edited December 28, 2024 by Slap 3
Cheeky Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 Gaga - You and I Britney - Hold It Against Me Beyonce - Check On It 1
DevilsRollTheDice Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 Sweet Dreams will never be forgotten by me Unfortunately The Edge of Glory. Geepee tasteless, what else is new.
PerfectCure Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 Britney - (You Drive Me) Crazy Gaga - Million Reasons (it was her signature ballad before DWAS and Shallow, now not so much) J-Lo - I'm Into You Beyoncé - If I Were A Boy
Kyoto Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 I don't agree about Alejandro, maybe because I'm from latin america
poki Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 Based on streams, it's You Drive Me Crazy for Britney. 54m streams for the remix. How does the album version have over 100m though?

Here are mine: Possibly the most interesting single release in her discography given it was a massive hit in Europe and a U.K. No.1 - whereas in the U.S. it was never even a single (in the pre-streaming age) and remained an album track, whilst the U.S. got this instead: 1
commander Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 Womanizer feels a little forgotten but I still bop to it. Same with Just Dance. 1
Bloodflowers. Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 Those 4 songs in the OP are all pretty much well remembered in Europe, especially Sweet Dreams (gets good radio airplay) and Alejandro These are the real underrated bops: 11

It did get totally eclipsed by the first two singles from TFM but at the time it was my fave and still is.
Escape Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 Is "Papi" by JLO forgotten? If so then that. 2

The way this bop was turned into a rom com style Fiat ad kills me inside. Such a good song as well as I'm Into You, this was really Jenny's era. Also: 900m views on Youtube for this plus she was wearing those iconic boots RiRi gifted her. And this song remains incredible, I might need to make a thread about it sometime.
bielneira Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Beyoncé: "Best Thing I Never Had" Lady Gaga: "The Edge Of Glory" Jennifer Lopez: "All I Have" Britney Spears: "Slumber Party" 2
Illuminati Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Don't think that Alejandro is forgotten, I mean there was a viral tweet about it just the other day. LoveGame kinda is though 2

It's the one included on playlists 16 minutes ago, prézli said: Beyoncé: Baby Boy Britney: Circus Gaga: Million Reasons JLo: I'm Real Circus is one of the least forgotten for her, the recurring stats are decent . Beyoncé: Deja vu Britney: Overprotected Gaga: The Edge of Glory Jennifer: Waiting for Tonight (iconic but the streams suck so eligible ) 1 1

How does the album version have over 100m though? You Drive Me Crazy is the most streamed third single from that era. It is actually a streaming smash with 175M Spotify streams and 219M YouTube views. The album version is the version that is promoted more and has playlisting. The remix isn't being promoted. It's probably because the remix's streams don't count for the parent album since it isn't on the tracklist. 1 hour ago, commander said: Womanizer feels a little forgotten but I still bop to it. modeblock Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 The fact these girls (not JLO) have so many stellar sings that a mega bop like Check on It or Crazy can even be forgotten in the first place makes it much easier to understand how they became the legends they are today. OT: Beyoncé: Greenlight Gaga: Love Game Britney: 3 4 1 1
