Riverbank Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Both albums were met with mixed reception upon release. But as we're heading into 2025, which one do you think has stood the test of time over the past 9 months? Discuss
Popular Post Bimbo Posted 21 hours ago Popular Post Posted 21 hours ago Houdini is still superior to any of the 45 tracks of TTPD 12 4 4
Shelter Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago TTPD was stale on arrival. Houdini is one of my faves 3
Nico Robin Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Both aged pretty well IMO Houdini and Training Season are the best songs by a mile though 1
Burn Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago I wasn't a fan of RO initially but the live album really gave it a new lease of life for me and I appreciate it a lot more now. 4
emailmyhearts Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago I see I'm in the minority here because I still play TTPD daily and discover new things to love about this album. Recently I've been listening to Cassandra on loop and it was one of my least favorite songs on release 1
Cheers Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Radical Optimism isn't even that bad. It has a lot of bops.
MidnightsAtPeace Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago the one that wasn't already d3ad upon its arrival 1
byzantium Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago If y'all love Radical Optimism so much, why are you not streaming it? 9
wulmite Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago radical optimism has houdini, training season and illusion ttpd has... yeah 1
BravoTangoWhiskey Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago This is such an insulting question lol for avoidance of doubt (for deluded stans), Radical Optimism is miles better 3
gustavothehuman Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago (edited) Radical Optimism's singles are better but I like Tortured Poets more as a body of work (not the bloated 31-track mess, I mean the original version). Edited 20 hours ago by gustavothehuman

Zero threads about this album, daily streams nonexistent, Dua erased from signatures, but of course when you pit it against Taylor, suddenly ATRL stans. Another showcase of Taylor's power 7 2 4 1
Mark Rih Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago (edited) Listened to RO today and half of the tracks are timeless, well produced pop songs (with 2 excellences like Houdini and TS) the other is crap Edited 19 hours ago by Mark Rih
blown away Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago For me Radical Optimism aged better. I initially dismissed it as a weak album but some its songs have grown on me over time. Whereas with TTPD I only liked Fortnight and Guilty As Sin to begin with, none of the tracks grew on me and I've even grown tired of Fortnight. 1
NEX Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Both albums are bad bad, but TTPD has more good songs (unsurprisingly because it's so long)
bielneira Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Believe or not, but 'THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT'
Alldeezy Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago Dua I totally forgot about Taylor dropping a album this year tbh it's probably only Taylor album I'll forget exists in the future while dua has happy for you and that song will be loved for a while
The Music Industry Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago TTPD but don't expect ATRL to vote for that 1
