does Ellie Goulding have the range to compete with Ariana Grande's discography? Ari has  Eternal Sunshine, Sweetener, thank u, next, and Positions, while Ellie's out here clinging to Lights from a decade ago. Ari doesn't have a song as generic as LMLYD, does she?

Yes I agree, instead Ariana likes to change her race and sound, like a chameleon every few cycles and makes rubbish like "7 rings" with the lyrics: 'when you see them racks stacked up like my ass' or 'we got that hood love'

Ariana is more consistent in quality, but Ellie's first two albums are the height that Ariana has yet to reach

But Ellie's discography is a mess after that (even HTH imo, although it was an improvement), so Ariana wins for being consistently strong even if she doesn't reach the heights of Halcyon/Lights

OT: Ellie's first two albums are very strong and I love the Kylie, Britney and Madonna influence. Her last few singles have been so egregiously bad that nobody tuned into her next albums, but maybe I'll give them a spin because she used to be incredible.

Delirium was so awful that it killed Ellie's career. If this were 2006, you'd probably be an Ashlee Simpson stan.
