The blame is on Gaga and Interscope that her recent two leads didn't connect with the GP but ARUTW and Bloody Mary did so that's a perfect example of this having everything to do with the quality of the song and not the names themselves. Bloody Mary (feat Chappell Roan) would eat on the charts I fear.

She can't put out the kind of super clean and safe music Pink and One Republic put out. The only times she's released good AC music are when she's working on a non-Gaga project with a non-Gaga team (ASIB, DWAS). On her own, her version of AC Gaga was Joanne and no one needs more of that What constitutes a "non-Gaga team" though? Because ASIB is still her project, and features a lot of people she had previously worked with like Mark Ronson, Hillary Lindsay, and Benjamin Rice. Even DWAS has Andrew Watt who's an executive producer on her new project (and has never worked with Bruno). The way you put it sounds like she's just throwing herself into a team she's never met. 1
babyforlife Posted yesterday at 02:50 AM Posted yesterday at 02:50 AM (edited) I don't mind, I personally enjoyed Joanne & all of Gaga's ballad. I prefer HACGa instead of half-baked pop era like Chromatica.... Edited yesterday at 02:51 AM by babyforlife typo
Kimi Posted yesterday at 03:14 AM Posted yesterday at 03:14 AM it would be big but mid, she does NOT shine with AC, it just sells well.
Støned Posted yesterday at 04:21 AM Posted yesterday at 04:21 AM There's nothing "Gaga" about Adult Contemporary music. It might work if she changes her name to Stefani instead.

Genie in a Bottle Posted yesterday at 08:26 AM Posted yesterday at 08:26 AM Her AC stuff is really hit or miss. I don't think she's capable of doing an entire album let alone the rest of her career in that vein. She has some great ballads, but she also has a ton of stinkers.
ChooseyLover Posted yesterday at 08:59 AM Posted yesterday at 08:59 AM Can't say I would be thrilled with it. I love myself a good ballad and her voice is just out of this world... but this type of music is not the reason why I became interested in her in the first place. But hey, anything is better than retirement so we may as well be grateful she's eager to keep going with so many setbacks like her chronic pain, mental health struggles and probably more. The music industry is not a nice place to be in general.
