Adult Contemporary is where Gaga shines especially for the gp

She'd likely get more GP friendly hits like shallow, ARUTW, and DWAS, but she'd really risk losing enthusiasm from her base.

She should do at least a bit of both. Maybe dark pop for studio albums and AC for droplet singles and soundtracks.

I would love her to release an AC album a la Bowie's Let's Dance. Harmless glam rock / disco pop. It would still be Gaga enough to please Liddos but can resonate with the GP at large. Or, she could go Back to Black route but I fear she already tried that with Joanne

That would actually be so sad. Gaga is such a creative person and she really excels and shines when she leans into the avant-garde and making art that pushes boundaries.

Joanne is how not to do HAC lbr  Get her the ASIB production team (aka no BP) and she'll be just fine

Well that would be the flavor or vibe of AC she would serve. If Gaga would choose to serve bland unseasoned chicken AC then she can keep it

AC music is very formulaic and polished whereas Gaga operates under the illusion that she's an experimental rockstar so it wouldn't work. She can't put out the kind of super clean and safe music Pink and One Republic put out. The only times she's released good AC music are when she's working on a non-Gaga project with a non-Gaga team (ASIB, DWAS). On her own, her version of AC Gaga was Joanne and no one needs more of that

I fear it's the only way for her to stay relevant at this point. Her pop music just isn't like it used to be, it feels like a parody of her old stuff and the GP said NO to Disease.

I hate that Gaga changed her whole image and now the GP doesn't want anything to do with her pop stuff, but she'd likely smash with an entire album of DWAS

Not you guys thinking the GP cares who's on a song or not. They only care if the song is catchy. The blame is on Gaga and Interscope that her recent two leads didn't connect with the GP but ARUTW and Bloody Mary did so that's a perfect example of this having everything to do with the quality of the song and not the names themselves.

Her problem is that she's a glam-rocker at heart, but for some reason feels the need to put on this classic balladeer persona when she does more stripped down music. There's a way to blend the eccentricity with that and she's done it before but never for a full album.

It's just a bit of a shame because it makes her look like she think glam rock and pop music is inferior to more "classic" high brow genres. Ironic because her pop music had so much more emotional depth compared to albums like Joanne

She truly shines on AC though. Shallow, ARUTW and DWAS are some of her best songs ever. If she makes an entire album full of them, she'll definitely have a smash era amongst the GP, and be back on top. 
 

Monsters are also loyal to her- so I do think it'll be to her benefit that she try out an album like that, at least for once.
