UseYourIllusion2002 Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Whatever this is the award show that awarded Roar the most legendary performance in VMAs history 1
dumbsparce Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago As others have said, MTV award wins used to be purely pr and promo, I never took them seriously even back in their heyday. I wouldn't be surprised if they could in fact be bought if someone's team reached out to the execs. Britney didn't need one before 2008 bc her career was doing fine. A performance slot was all her team cared about. But when the comeback narrative emerged that's when she, not only won for the first time ever, but completely swept? Too convenient. Her team obviously pulled all the tricks they could to solidify to the gp's mind that she was indeed back in full force. 1
Soda Pop Queen Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago (edited) Just to make sure, the VMAs is the intellectual property of MTV, correct? They obviously thought they didn't need to give her one in her heyday because she was gonna show up to every show regardless. The reason for that is because MTV single-handedly made her a superstar and gave her so much. She was always gonna go up for them because their promotion of her never stopped.
