prettyinpink940 Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Most all Catholic Popes in history have been openly homophobic, misogynistic, anti-choice, against using contraceptives, etc. And I'm not even talking about the Catholic Church sexual abuse cases (its perpetrators have also been defended by the Pope). Still millions have people (including those who have gay/lesbian children and claim to be supportive of them) literally worship the Pope. Why? 1 1
glitch Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago The only way the pope could get cancelled is if he stopped doing those things and became super progressive. Catholics are all about tradition and are super anti any kind of change, so having the same views the pope would've had 1000 years ago is appealing to them.
Bloodflowers. Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago The only way for Pope to be cancelled is if he became "woke" and Catholics start an uprise against "woke agenda"
Illuminati Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago I feel like the people who would criticize the organized religion establishment if it was exposed... kinda already do so. It wouldn't shift how the cult feels about him. For example, people know that Trump is an Epstein buddy and a fellow pedophile and they still love him.
Dancehall Queen Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Girl. Sure, recent popes have been cancelled for being too woke, but like.. literally click on any time period here. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_papacy
Peak Now Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago You're basically saying "will Catholicism be cancelled" so no Also Catholics don't "literally" worship the Pope pls 4

I recently visited the Vatican with a catholic friend and he literally cried during the Angelus when he saw the pope. And I don't consider him religious. Edited 11 hours ago by dussel_06
Komet Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago ?? Pope's been cancelled many times; not for the reasons you listed tho.
Sergi91 Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago (edited) No. Martin Luther tried IT in 1517 with his 95 theses but failed. Edited 1 hour ago by Sergi91 1

People believe Jesus is God who appointed Peter as the head of his church thus had successors who are name the Pope…

Dante Silva Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Ireland is very religious and venerates the Catholic religion, but even they decided enough was enough a while back after so many heartless stories about Magdalene orphanages and priest sex scandals. I can't even take the concept of Christian Republicans seriously. Everyone knows those people are up to all sorts of shady behavior on the down-low, and none of it is morally good. Serious question, though... Who would actually have to cancel the Pope before the rest of society considered him (and presumably the Catholic faith by association) canceled?
Kamil24 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago idk about the rest, but St. Pope John Paul II will never be cancelled. Too pure of a human being 1
