Has Putin cracked the US?

Who knew it could be so easy to destroy the US? Just plant a traitor like Trump (and Musk) from within and let them gain power and you have won.

Honestly I am baffled that the secret services of the US or any other intelligence entities did absolute f**king NOTHING to stop him to getting here despite all the evidence (project 2025 etc) that he is gonna try and make the US a dictatorship. Seems like the US has zero protections and defenses when the threat comes from within. They are letting everything burn to the ground without doing a f**king thing :sadviolin:

Is Putin's dream of destroying those "pesky western democracies" coming true? Stalin is probably rolling in his grave right now for not having tried this route himself. :suburban:

The US was bound to eat itself to death eventually, I didn't expect it to be so soon though :suburban: Social media is removing independent thoughts scarily fast.

The US (and Europe) cracked itself and won't reverse that until it abandons this "must be Putin!!11 evil Russky who controls everything but is also about to be overthrow!!1!" mentality that permeates Third Way centrist thought.

Is Putin is a vile right-wing dictator? Yes. Does Russia engage in efforts to influence the US election? Probably. All great powers do. Is he powerful enough for those efforts to have an actual effect? I'm gonna say no, at least not in direct way.

There is no pee tape, kompromat or whatever else Rachel Maddow came up with in 2017. Trump just likes strongmen and MAGAs think they can ally with Russia against China.

At the end of the day, Centrist Dems only have themselves to blame for the rise of Trump. Putin did not force Obama to let the bankers off the hook. Putin did not force Bush to invade Iraq or the Dems to support it. Putin did not convince Dems to abandon Medicare 4 All.

Neoliberal centrism is completely dead in the West and until the establishment parties come to terms with that, they'll continue to lose elections and fuel the rise of the far-right, be it Trump, Le Pen, Salvini or Farage.

A far-right which sees itself in Putin's Russia. So in a way, I guess Putin did win, but he didn't plan that win. It was handed to him on a platter.

Sorta, but I think he doesn't see that Russia is susceptible to the same foreign interference practices and insanity that the Western countries are.

No dictator wants to be under the foot of another and soon enough Space Karen Elon and Target-Practice Trump will have their own ambitions that don't align with what Putin demands.

Putin seems to have their necks under his nine inch elevator shoes pretty firmly though seeing how they haven't dared to ever criticize him and basically kiss his feet all the time. You can clearly tell who the top dog is.

Yes and it's so scary. Let the algorithms run long enough and you'll have created yourself an army of right wing brain rotten zombies.

No wonder Russia and China highly censor ot outright ban foreign medias while spreading the wildest propaganda to the west.

He better worry about China wanting to crack him

Rampant neo liberalism, stupidity, ignorance and reality show culture made all of this possible. So it doesn't only come from outside forces.

The US did it by itself tbh. If the US was a smart country, they'd protect their interest but they're not.

Considering how the average American despises education or any form of enlightenment, there was really nothing to crack

Yeah no

The US has probably the worst educational system from the western world, several generations of manipulation

If Putin did something was just exploit what was already built for generations

If it takes a few Russian bots to destroy "the most powerful country of the world" there was something really wrong before then.

Going back to at least the 1950s, America has always been anti-Russian.

They were always polar opposite "superpowers" in the context of politics and rival nuclear capabilities.

Less sophisticated, non-cosmopolitan portions of the American public, who typically reside in the middle of the country (away from the East and West Coasts), make up most of the population and are generally considered to have the most traditional and regressive values.

Yet their fake savior (Trump, who wants to get rid of the Affordable Care Act, which would benefit them greatly in times of trouble) has indicated that he relates to Putin and does not find him that bad.

It is beyond my comprehension that through Trump (their lord and savior), the more provincial and less cosmopolitan center of the country surely feels the same way about Putin and Russia as Trump does, and this is the most anti-American stance possible that can only lead to America's detriment.

The incomprehensible part being that those who are most proud to be American have been wholly softened up to America's biggest oppressor and enemy.

Putin controls all of Russia's resources and powers without any oversights, he's practically *the* Oligarch among all 3 of them. But watch his tankies completely overlook this, along with dodging criticizing MAGAs. Just watch how deafening silent they are when Trump is in control now.

US cracked itself sis, no help was even needed. As all huge empires, they fall from within.

The US did it to itself and it started in the 70s, 80s. Neoliberalism doomed the country. Moreover it's amazing some of the things that happen in US politics that is just considered lobby or business as usual, when it reality it's corruption plan and simple.
